Meanwhile it is a great game between Queensland and the Lions. 21-12 to the Lions after 38 mins.

What is a bigger deal in Pomgolia: England v India or the Lions tour?

I wonder if Washington will bowl enough overs to justify his selection or if he bowls like 4 overs all game and then gets to bat 12 balls while the tailenders get themselves out at the other end.

Not like we already saw that same thing play out in Australia.
Tbf he was India's best player along with Pant against NZ and he has ATG averages.

I think it is acceptable to play for the draw when you realise your team is outgunned. It's a negative mindset but it's understandable.

That does not justify leaving out Kuldeep. England are not known destroyers of spin, and Jaddu's economy was one of the best from India last test despite him not bowling particularly well. And if you really want a draw, you are expecting to play on Days 4 and 5, by which point you will need a frontline spinner to hold up an end.

Not as annoyed by 3 all-rounders as I am by Kuldeep not playing. He could have easily taken either Prasidh or Akashdeep's spot.

Dropping Sai is nuts too. As mentioned above, it shows they do not know what they're doing with the batting lineup. If Karun is good enough to bat 3 then why didn't he play there in the first Test

So you’d play 3 spinners and 2 quicks + reddy?
If my only objective was to play out the draw over 5 days, then yes. You're not taking 20 wickets either way, the spin heavy attack might control the scoring rate better.

I would rather play a orthodox looking XI (Kuldeep, Siraj and two of the remaining quicks + 1 allrounder) and try to win . Yes our tail would be ****, but you can't address that mid tour by sacrificing bowling strength. That's something that needs a long term plan with bowlers working on their batting in between tours / identifying talent to develop.
