You might want a 3rd and 4th reserve non-ND non-Auckland player for pre-Christmas international (?) / injury cover.

Is there anyone I should be looking at for my wider reserves?
I think players not yet picked include:

mid-career
Renwick
Popli
van Woerkom
Bacon

newcomers
Bhula
Briggs
Wiggins
ter Braak
Harrison

will they get some FC games?
Leopard
Santner
Verma

Sean Davey had a 5/19 and 4/45 to conclude last season, if he could get back into the Canty side after Henry leaves. He's 120s for pace, but that didn't hold back Sheat and Solia from doing well with the Dooka ball last season.

Will O'Rourke and Kristian Clarke would probably be the unclaimed U21 seamers that I could see taking a 2fer or 3fer in a Shield game. An U21 bat doing anything is pretty rare, and there won't be a young braai guys surprise. Jacob Cumming got in eight Otago A games last season, maybe he can get the nod over Renwick after Christmas and begin opening with Rutherford.

Max O'Dowd with two World Cup 50s this week. He could be back in Otago like last season.

Can I reorder my reserves at any time?
Actually, although I like the idea, a significant change like that perhaps needed to be made clear to everyone in the pre-drafting stage. I better lock in the top two reserves for everyone tomorrow I think. They'll be your top two reserves throughout.

Maybe we should treat any games made up by Auckland / ND as occurring on the dates that they should have occurred originally for reserves purposes?

I suggest treat them like any other set of games. Is over complicating the analysis to look back to original scheduled dates to work out which players can be subbed for valid reasons.

We should all know there is some risk of Auckland and ND not playing 8 PS games and have had a chance to move players from top 6 into reserves.

Aging and losing our touch badly here. It seems the best performers on the opening day of the season with bat (Wiggins) and ball (Snedden) aren't going to be in the 85+ players we took.

Sears whacked around by a U23 bat in a club T20 today btw, rather than playing the first round.
