I've decided the strain of these Camden Hawkins type players might weigh too heavily on Rutherford getting 600+ runs this season (even though he's coming in with a bit of a wet sail and had a good run of scores in the UK), so I'm just getting this posted before the 10:30am lock.

I know who Blocky would say is a good pick for March, when NZT may have some injury concerns. If NZT doesn't like the Blocky-by-association feel to it, he can pick again when he's home. @Athlai now up.
I'll take Joe Walker. I'll draft up another list as Kippax as I have a busy week ahead until I get back to Auckland on Friday.

Not positive signs for me that Sears gets left out in the first game of the season - though I suppose it's possible that he's studying for his Uni finals this week.

Yes it's likely to be better than a "moving house that day" or "stepped on glass the morning after the party" type of unavailability with Sears. I think he was always going to be carefully managed through this period of four quickfire Shield rounds and two or three NZ A four-dayers.

Guess I'd better pick someone as sub who will regularly be available for his side rather than being otherwise engaged ...
