Surprised he would want to associate with the unwashed heathen swine that is the barmy army then

Lol, Billy Cooper the original trumpet player (now retired) has played with the London Symphony orchestra as well as in West End musicals mate.
From the wording, looks like you hastily looked him up on Wikipedia. And it doesn't make it some wonderful musical addition. After all, orchestras have multiple instruments for a reason.

And some of those West End musicals are ****ing horrendous. Christ, have you seen Chitt Chitty Bang Bang? Woeful.

Yeah, one of the only upsides to the pandemic is the absence of the Barmy Army. Just a woeful, yobbo supporter group like any other. They get a free pass for the sort of personal abuse of players which would otherwise be rounded on by the pure-of-heart on here, presumably because one of them blows a bugle.

Tres sophisticated.
i've seen you make this post like six times now

Picture the scene

Tim Ward has just made his Australian debut replacing the out-of-form 36 year old David Warner in the 4th Test of the 2023 Ashes at Lords. Stuart Broad has dismissed Warner in 6 from 6 innings, and under intense pressure from the selectors Ward has finally been included after his 1 (12) against a NSW 2nd XI featuring an attack including veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon, Derma "Sean" Abbott and current 'flavour of the month' Jason Sangha.
The team also included the world's worst grade cricketer in Jack Edwards, who has still yet to register a 1st grade 50 and is consistently selected based on his "youthfulness"and "game-changing ability"

Social is in the members pavilion wining and dining with the latest Arab sheikh who has recently offered a contact for Social jnr to play for the Riyadh Renegades in the Abu Dhabi T5 competition. Social explains that he has the "grace and poise of Roger Federer, the sheer speed of Usain Bolt and the elite winning mentality of Cristiano Ronaldo" The sheikh is suitably impressed and offers him a contract on the spot

Would be pretty amusing if Jason Sangha/Jack Edwards both became Australian test cricketers and made their dayboo's in the near future. Both get absolutely slated on here

Can't agree with Burgey on everything but gotta give it to him, he stands by his views. Pretty refreshing in this day and age

Yeah, you rarely see pig-headed boomers these days

Based on his performances, he was unlikely to retain his spot in the Tasmanian 2nd XI anyway

Apparently Paine is taking indefinite leave form all forms of cricket. Hope he's doing ok.

It'll give the Barmy Army time to make up a nice, not at all personal and offensive ditty about him though, so that'll be good for their supporters on here I suppose/

There's nothing wrong with anyone making their dayboo if their performances warrant it. If those blokes produced back to back seasons of averaging 50 odd in FC cricket (lol I know, I know) then they'd deserve to be in the running.
