The Fury and the Power were also looking for their opening wins of the season. The Fury gained a point away from home against United, whilst the Power were hammered in a controversial match against the Swell.
Western Dynamo vs Island Swell
at Pickford Park
Both sides coming off opening day wins and both were convincing. A battle against the two best attacking teams in the comp, but how would the defences hold up?

Top Stuff Fury!!!!!
Great to get our 1st win on the board with a fantastic performance from all. Hoy leading the way again in the Midfield, and Dravid simply unstoppable in front of Goal. Dissappointed i couldn't convert any of 5 shots, but can't complain that i managed to get that many chances.

Great game there lads. Hatrick for Dravid was great to see. Personally had an okay game i reckon.
