That's what he is supposed to do! Let's see how long his fun takes. Paks really need to restore the run rate.

'Which New Zealander would qualify next as a specialist batsman? I couldn't tell... If there would be one, I'd get him in for Butler or Southee...

I just checked his figures. How come he has only played 17 tests???

As Straw Man pointed out, he does have good ODI figures. However, I've always figured that consistency is what makes a good batsman a good opener. Guys that either make 70-odd or get out in single figures, seems to be more suited for a #5 spot, I guess.

Oh dear..... two wickets for no runs........... Did Younis throw his wicket away there?

Butt has now registered ducks in his last T20I, his last ODI and his last test (albeit in the 1st innings)..... Oh never mind, his last ODI before this one, he also got out for nought. Why is the man selected? Has he shown good form recently in any domestic league?

*Official* Airtel Twenty20 Champions League 2009

He started off rather slowly, then got the momentum going, but ended with 7 dots in the last 10 balls he faced.... He was on 20 from 19, but only got 23 from 31.

David Warner goes from 2 from 12 to 20 from 19. I was just wondering why he was so modest. In both T20 & T20I, he averages around 30, with a 140 strike rate.

*Official* Double Match Day - Australia v Pakistan (30th Sept)

Even if the Aussies manage to fail to reach 205 runs, India will be out of it. Unless they beat WI really, really big!

Is the wicket really so full of life thta is has become a random batsman's graveyard? If so, what would be a par score?

That's odd. Aus are defenitely in an above par situation wth 234/4 after 42.3 of 50 overs. Whereas 153 is simply a par score in T20. I should admit it's just a feeling though.

Was it Ponting's fault, or Hussey's

Fair enough! BTW, I'm not suggesting 320 is easily within reach, just that form this point, Aussies should push for 320.

With 8 wickets in hand, I would normally expect the score at 30 overs to be doubled at 50 overs. Aussies should look for 320.

Should Smith have been allowed a runner?

It shouldn't be Strauss' decicsion. Why aren't he laws clear on when a batsman can have a runner and when not?
