Well, they're both young, so we should expect them to bounce back from any form crisis they might be in. Too bad they're not in action though. They both are unique bowlers.

Please don't gun me down for not knowing enough about the teams, but.... Where are Mendis & Malinga?

It's good to see some decent Test Cricket again. 4 quick 1st session wickets followed by 3 huge partnerships, just to see a rather quick 2nd day tale collapse. And now a fine Sri Lankan reply. This Test is wonderfully set up and could really go any direction. Well, England nearly did during...

Well, arguably, he is the best Pakistani batsman. He shouldn't be dropped just like that.

So, Umar is in...., but Mohammad Yousouf is not. Do I lack information or is that just a weird dicission?

Yuvraj, I suppose.... So, it could be over soon, since he appears to bowl a couple of poor deliveries each over.

Are Pakistan using a spinner for the death overs, or what?

Yup, but as we can see now, Afridi gets Afridi-ed

Jadeja has a pretty good first class record, averaging 38.

A legend living up to his standard here. If he gets to 200, Charles Coventry's 2 months old record will already be broken....

What in the world is wrong with a run-a-ball century as an ODI opener, even on the flattest of pitches???

So, the Aussies enter the last 8 overs with 8 wickets in hand, and 2 settled batsmen. The should target a real big one here! 350 possible, I'ld say.

    ***Unofficial*** Ireland Discussion Thread

Why oh why? Are Ireland far ahead of Holland, Scotland & Kenya? I don't think so! BTW, Ireland was invited to play in England as a county (Pro 40 league). They declined and now Holland will play as an English county..... Good for Dutch cricket, I suppose. And it would have been good for Irish...

288 for NZ to win. I think it's a good batting track. We should be clouded by the fact Pakistan lost 2 very early wickets and thus proceeded cautiously. Paks recovered very well. But if NZ bat sensibly, it should be an interesting chase!

Yeah, that's gotta hurt. And he has one over left as well.... Ah, whereas I predicted that over 49 (Butler) would be the most costly, Butler actually gets the Razzaq wicket.

 Looks like Butler will bowl over 49. I'm afraid those 6 balls will cost NZ this match. I guess Vettori did a smart thing to not use Butler's last over during power play.

Will Dan give him another over? Or would it be best to hand the ball to Styris (or McCullum)?
