*Official* Third Test at the WACA

I guess it was a bit wishful thinking the Aussies could actually mess around with Swanny....

TBH, I had already forgotten about him. In my mind he was dropped ages ago.....

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Apart from the mystery around Beer probably being picked before Hauritz, and Beer within the twelve being picked before Hilfenhaus, there is really not too much wrong with the selection...... Let's be real, there is no way the selectors can do a proper job. Whomever they pick, they will pick...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

I assume we have an early start on day 4 and 5? If play actually gets underway at the start of day 4 at 10am, I would bat for 45 minutes. Simply tell KP, Prior, Swanny & Broad to forget about their wickets and smack the ball around. If play cannot start at 10am, I'd declare.

After the first day at the Gabba, everyone agreed Doherty wholly deserved those two wickets.....

    Ashes Predictions

Before this series got underway, I figured England were marginally favourites to keep The Ashes, for two reasons: Graeme Swann and just needing a drawn series. Those two arguements, imho, outweigh the fact that the Aussies play on home soil. For the rest, I would think both teams were fairly...

*Official* First Test at the Gabba

Maybe.... My point is that Australia, 4 years ago, had a side that could pull off a stunning win from a dire position. This side simply does not have that quality.

I think that had more to do with Shane Warne being Shane Warne, than English cricketers being English.

I just saw the Johnson drop..... What a clown he has been today....

*Official* First Test at the Gabba

Wow! I just got up, to see England lead by 50 runs with 9 wickets in hand. Before this series got underway, I wasn't sure which team to support (there's nothing like being a neutral cricket fan). now that Fredddie doesn't play. And I still don't! I also couldn't figure who would be favourites...

Why North? Just to prove he has no place in this side, or what?

BBC have announced that radio 5 live will only be available online in the UK. Thus not here in NL. Does anyone know fine internet live stream radio commentary for the Ashes?

*Official* Pakistan v South Africa in Dubai

Well, I got out when Steyn fell, wondering if SA would take it to 500 or not..... Now they're close to 600. What's the highest tenth wicket stand in test cricket anyway? Edit: And when I post, Smith declares....

*Official* New Zealand in India 2010

Indeed, but that still puzzles me a bit. The shine of the new ball is supposed to assist fast bowlers. Since that shine only lasts a limited number of overs, it doesn't make sense to waste them....

Why is the new ball consumed by spinners? Doesn't make much sense, does it?
