Well, there is no reason to declare, right now, is there?

Yeah, you're right, I looked it up. Got it terribly wrong!

I remember Gilchrist getting a ton in 70-odd balls 4 years ago. He needed 1 ball more than Viv Richards once needed iirc. How does this one rank?

Yeah, contributed..... Yet I hold the position that his brain farting contributed a tad bit more :) .

I can see your point! Yet, we do quite often see a wicket fall, without any good bowling whatsoever (not saying we see that today though). Even top batsmen occasionally give their wicket away....., just like that.

Did he? Or was it Pietersen's brain fart that took the wicket?

That's what I thought too. Replays show it was really close, but hitting. I do think umpires should not give those out, as there is a reasonable doubt!

Actually, that was a good shot by Johnson! Proper football technique!

391 to win then for England. I guess it could be close if England do well, but if things go like they should go, we are looking forward to a levelled series entering the MCG. Fine prospect! Really looking forward to that!

Well, it would most likely stop the top order from failing. And he wouldn't run out of partners...

Am I missing something when I suggest Mussey should be an opening batsman (with Watson)? He's done it before!

Bell should have left that. Not? Huge opportunity for Aus now!

Hey, isn't thta a bit premature? Anyway, what is the pitch supposed to do over the next few days? Is there a fair chance of huge 2nd innings scores? Or is a result the inevitable outcome?

Well well, I tuned in after lunch. Not what I expected, yet it is very much what this series needed!

Just tuned in. It appears GG didn't make use of the extra lifes he got today!

I'd go even further: Selection issues have very little to do with Australian direness. Apart from nearly picking Beer for this Test, the selectors eventually got the right XI. Yes, we could debate for hours, days and threads whether some positions should be filled in differently, but the current...

Since when are pull shots straight to a (shortish) square leg 'simple catches'? Sure enough, a good fielder should take 'm most of the times, but it's never really simple....

Good 50 for Mitch. I was just shown the wagon wheel, which had one 6. I was thinking I had seen two........

True! But Hussey has played all bowlers pretty well, I'd think. No reason to suggets that (especially) Swann was struggling against him.

Warney also suggested that Swann was having difficulties bowling against Hussey, right before he got him. Than he suggested the decision could be not out, because Hussey generally walks. I still like his commentary though!
