Can't see him getting out the way he is batting.

***Official*** England in Sri Lanka 2012

A bit off-topic,but that's what I like about Dravid and Kallis. OK, tough to compare any batsman with those two, but still. I remember an innings by Kallis where he had scored zip from 30. Bowlers, fielders and commentators were feeling the pressure was rising on him, but he himself did...

It means Patel comes in at 7. Not sure what good that is. He wouldn't have been my pick.

I guess Prior needs to gets through (which is what he has done before lunch), before he gets comfortable. He has survived for 40 balls. If these two add 30 runs, my money would be on England.

If SL's last two wickets can add 80-odd, 300-odd is a reasonable target..... It feels like a lame argument, yet this is still a Test that might go any possible way. So far Trott & Pietersen seem to apply (finally) quite well. I don't agree KP is simply being lucky. Sure he was dropped once and...

Hmmm, the lead is getting a bit too big to expect a thriller. I guess SL will feel this is enough. Otoh, we're not even half way! Self-applying English batsmen should be able to make it a good a decent fight.

Indeed! Yet, anything under 300 should be possible, even for England's batsmen, if they apply themselves. They won't see a fifth-day minefield! Big if, but still. This is a good pitch as far as I can tell.

I guess the nerves got the best of him? That's just human. Not that my own poor level of cricket is a standard in whatever way, but I've once come in at eleven, needing 35 runs. I freely swung the bat, until we needed 3 runs and suddenly started to wonder what to do......., just to get out in a...

**Official** ICC World T20 Qualifier Thread.

It means we have to beat Scotland, then Ireland (or possibly Canada) and then Namibia or Afghanistan. That's quite a hill to climb. Too bad the WC T20 doesn't have 16 or 14 spots, rather than the WC ODI.

    Amir Interview

Thnaks, Didn't know that. Puts him really back then. What is he? Not the brightests? Or simply trying to downplay his role? Anyway, whatever the reason he had to get into this, I can imagine that as an 18-year old, one thinks that following captain's orders is a pretty normal, acceptable and...

**Official** ICC World T20 Qualifier Thread.

So, Holland - Scotland and Ireland - Canada. Both winners to battle each other for an opportunity to take on the loser of Afghanistan - Namibia.... Right?

    Amir Interview

To be fair, the judges did not conclude Amir was structurally involved (right?). It might very well be the case that Amir was indeed only involved in this 'incident', which was part of a wide range of incidents organized by Butt & co.

I don't care whos takes this series, but a close finish would be awesome. Though Lee doesn't deserve this. I like him too much for this kind of crap...

There is something about not performing too well consistently, but outperforming when others don't. I like Strauss!

***Official*** Pakistan and England in UAE

I agree with that. My point was merely about the fact that a batsman hardly has a clue whether the umpire's decison (going on to hit outer half of leg stump) was any good.

***Official*** Pakistan and England in UAE

I agree. A ball that might or might not hit the outer half of leg stump should NOT be given out. My gut simply says that is not what cricket is about. However, if an umpire has a minimal doubt about a very faint edge for an LBW decision, he can give the batsman out. In such a case, the batsman...

***Official*** Pakistan and England in UAE

I find that a quite ridiculous statement. Given England's ways of the last few years, we KNOW that they will stick with players for a decent while. The only England batsman under pressure is Eoin Morgan, and rightfully so.
