    Still no Kallis......

Good call to stay up! Too bad this test doesn't get a lot better this way. Would have preferred a more solid SA batting display.

Well, it is better than cameras zooming in on not-so-decent looking girls....., which is what they do in England.

Am I the only one thinking England might very well have a decent go with the bat? Their second innings of the first Test showed some promise. Would be very good for this series if England bat well!

It must be said: Marlon Samuels is the most improved cricketer ever. Not only judged by this innings! Since his return, he's been awesome everywhere in the world at any level.

Highest first day test score? Oh, a wicket! And stumps.

So, there's hope for England. A fifty! The pitch is still good for batting, right? So, was it right to ask England to follow on? I don't think it improves India's chances of winning. Then again, not much room for improvement anyway!

Making the Indians pay for not having DRS :) .Can't feel sorry for them. I do feel sorry for cricket though.

Exactly the type of decisions that DRS is for...... Anyway, Prior and Bresnan to ton up and avoid the follow-on!

So the Bangladesh #8 has a higher batting average than all but two of his team mates?

I just noticed WI have 5 bowlers (that is when you count Sammy as a bowler, which I do). Whatever you think of Sammy, WI have a bowler more than in other Tests this year. Why is that?

I can see the Aussies go on like this until the lead is 100, and then slog their way to whatever lead at lunch. Could be near 200! But I really can't see them knocking over 10 SA wickets in any way.

So the South African bowlers couldn't buy a wicket the whole day (just a (lucky) run out) on a day 4 pitch.

Clarke also averages above 50 now. He only needs 3 more to keep it that way, if he loses his wicket. I guess his next target is to get the Gabba's top score which is now in the hands of Alistair Cook iirc (235 not out, Ashes 2010/11). This test reminds me of that one! Just the single wicket...

He just scored a magnificent ton. What happened?

Surprised to see Kleinveldt gets another. Why not let Kallis have a bowl?

    He looks expensive....

It always stuns me when a captain sets a few men on the leg side boundary and asks his bowler to bowl short. As if any recognised batsman would fall for such an obvious trick. Oh well.......

So, the Aussies think (80%) they'll win this series. I can't see that happen in any easy way.
