Getting out by stupid shots consistently, is a perfectly fine reason to drop a batsman..... If there is an alternative :) .

Well, he bowls a fuller length too much imho. Not too many loose balls though, Despite some oooohs and aaaahs from his team mates, it's not threatening.

I can't see how Zimbabwe can trouble the Windies in a proper test either.

Wooohaaaaa..... I take a shower and get some breakfast and consequently have missed 5 wickets.....

Surely not. But it still puzzles me who decides when Watson will bowl again.....

He's not exactly the only batsman to do so!

I really don't understand what you mean here. Are you suggesting that Watson would continue bowling with a broken foot, when told so?

    ***Official*** Australia in India 2012/13

Uhm..., no. I've simply put forward the possibility that he is physically able to bat, but not to bowl. To me it would seem that either he himself, or his doctor/physio makes that call. Anyway, it would to clear this up of you could point out who does make the decision then......

Maybe his physio or doctor does. What's so weird about that?

I guess he makes the call himself he won't bowl, to spare his body.

Ishant is only 24. Fair enough I guess.

Makes me wonder.... Is Roach not young (fair enough I guess), or don't you rate him?

Yeah, hence the the 'just a theory'. TBH, I couldn't figure out which active Aussie batsman could improve the line up....

I'd like to agree. But it's always wishful thinking when you expect the last pair to score another 50, and at the same feel scoring a 100 for a complete innings is a tough task....... So yeah, probably over within the hour!

I don't really care about the exact quality of the Tasmanian fast bowler's attack. I do think, however, Mr Ronan has a point when he states the Portuguese cricketer has proven on earlier occasions he can hold a bat properly. It only makes clear how weak the rest of the Aus bating line up is...

Let's simply all agree it is Johnson Charles' day today!

I had the idea the spot was on the back of the bat, whereas the normal replay indicated that, if there was a nick, it should be on the proper side of the bat....

He's 24 and has a slim 9 ODI's under his belt. Seems to be a fine situation to improve!

Well, it's good to see these two are motoring along nicely. Too bad it's a dead rubber, but it is a well set up match for Sunday morning, before I switch to Six Nations in the afternoon :) .
