First time I hear him, and I already agree.

With Watson missing, Aus need clever captaincy. Nathan Lyon bowling many overs won't scare SA, I'ld think.

I'm a bit more conservative on LBW-decisions. The ball hitting the flap of the back foot..., I just don't know. Anyway, DRS did the right thing!

Out, no doubt. But hitting the upper two inches of the stumps is not really plumb imho.

SA really do have some very great batsmen in their batting line-up. I wouldn't be surprised if the Aussies fail, or at least struggle, to take 20 wickets.

That review come out so quickly, I figured I must have missed something......, but in the end it was nothing but stupidity. Whose call was it?

I'm not sure why, but I suddenly started wondering who will open the batting for England, now Strauss is gone. Will it be Joe Root?

Discussion on Twenty20 as a format of cricket

Interesting point. I agree, though I've never really been able to explain properly why I prefer Tests above anything else, but pick T20 over ODIs. You mention the dependence on the pitch. Not sure that's it... Tests depend on a pitch as well. I've always wondered..... Do we need grass pitches...

Discussion on Twenty20 as a format of cricket

Yeah, spectator-friendliness is a thing I didn't mention. It really is a whole lot easier to watch a T20 match than a Test, isn't it. Last May, I've visited Lord's for days 1, 2, 3 & 4 for the England - WI Test. I felt so hopelessly bereft when I left the ground at the end of day 4, knowing I...

Discussion on Twenty20 as a format of cricket

Like you guys, I will take Test Cricket over T20 any day. But there is more into T20 then I had expected, before the first WC T20 was on. -First of all, T20 Cricket is better than basketball, football, baseball, hockey or rugby. Don't get me started on swimming, track&field, speed skating...

How many do Aus need to top Pak on net run rate?

**Official** Super 8 Group 2 Discussion - Aus, Ind, Pak and SA

15 from 30 is really a game killer in T20. Pakistan should be happy Hafeez is's out.

**Official** Super 8 Group 1 Discussion - Eng, WI, SL and NZ

I would have thought that Sri Lanka could relatively easyily keep the score down, but this is a more than decent show by the NZ batsmen. The other day on this ground, Pakistan's 177 was enough, as NZ could gather 164.

So, we are deprived of a Gayle innings. Too bad!

    Best All-Rounder ever

Kallis is not just a batsman who can bowl a bit........ First of all, he is an all-time-great batsman, a great cricketer, even when leaving out the wickets and the catches. But that's not the point here. Kallis, as a bowler, has a better bowling sheet than quite a few specialist bowlers. His...
