**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

Given that batting 4th is a bit harder than batting 3rd England need a 40-50 run lead (as a par score). And given that England are 1 down, they probably need 30 more. A reply of 144/4 to 234 is still decent, but given the circumstances, I'm inclined to say Pakistan are somewhat ahead right now.

Ian Bell out stumped was nowhere on my prediction list.

I don't think England have that soft an underbelly! Apart from Stokes not coming out to bat today (has that been confirmed?), things look ok for England, not? Patel, Rashid & Broad are some 8, 9 & 10. Stop spoiling our childish enthousiasm!

Well, Bell & Taylor surviving until tea with 38 runs scored so far for the 4th wicket, have turned things back one more time, right? To be fair, 135/3 in reply to 234 is something any team would take at any given match.

Yes, they did. Yet, the fact they couldn't succesfully block out the pacers, is what makes me think this pitch has a lot to offer for quicks.

Still a lot of talk on spin bowling. Maybe that's just not right, given yesterdays figures of Anderson & Broad. I find it hard to tell, but maybe pace would be the better option for Pakistan?

***Official*** South Africa in India 2015

When Kohli & Dhoni had got to a fifty partnership, things looked really, eally rosy for India. But from that point (after over 30 or so), a dozen quiet overs with neither wickets nor boundaries followed. It's beyond me how a batting pair of MSD & VK can be slowed down after adding 50, without...

    Quarter-finals

I would be lying if I claimed so. But I'm convinced now. Losing that line-out with 2 minutes on the clock wasn't bad luck......

Well, one feels Faf can only hole out or get out form this point.

From 60/0 after 10 overs, 325 seems modest.

Quite a first over. All 6 balls attacking the stumps. All deliveries met the wood of the bat. Yet, no runs!

You've missed it, I guess? It really felt like a very well deserved 5 for imho.

They missed out on reviewing a completely nonsense appeal.

Does Cook even have a 2nd gear? Many proper test batsmen actually do. Misbah has one of the quickest tons in Test Cricket. As does Shiv Chanderpaul!

Afaik, according to the laws of cricket, fingers under the ball means nothing. It's just one of those things that has become common.

Yeah, that's the only thing that makes sense if England are facing a RRR around 10.

Hmmm, things might get very interesting. But even if England will take those last three wickets in 5 overs or so, they will only have 15 overs I reckon to slog to their target.
