*Official* Afghanistan and Bangladesh tour of India 2018

The way things are going now, we might see a follow-on. Normally, I think the talk about following on starts way too early, but not now, I guess.

I've always liked Ishant. Far more than I should, I guess. Can't wait to see him operate in England.

Nervous nineties or what! Nice he gets to 100 on the brink of tea!

Bishoo showing the value of holding up your wicket. Quite valuable!

Since the Zim/SA tour, Lakmal averages 35.2. Which is, I guess, not bad indeed.

I can appreciate LAkmal being the 'workhorse'Yet, his 100 career test wickets have come well above 40. I alos can appreciate the enthousiasm about a young fast bowler. But Kumara's career figures are so far, piss poor. I didn't watch a thing yesterday, but should be able to watch most of today.

Tickets for the England - India series (question)

That must be it, I guess. I've been to both grounds (my team mates have not btw). I really liked TB. Judged by the eyes of a foreign tourist, it appeared to have, what I think, this typical Englishness. Been to the Hollies stand at Edgbaston, which was mostly nice for the rather 'working class'...

Tickets for the England - India series (question)

Since I couldn't see an official thread on India in England, I made a new thread. I'm planning to go to England with a few team mates. As we play our league matches in Holland on Saturdays, we have to plan around that. So it's going to be Days 1&2 at Edgbastopn or Days 2&3 at Trent Bridge. The...

*Official* Pakistan tour of Ireland, England and Scotland 2018

On Broad: He did manage to stay with Cook at the MCG, not? IIRC, they got quite a few for the 10th wicket.

I can see that happen. But from here Pak will have to do well to get to 220, I guess.

Significance of the 'second innings denial' effect.

Interesting theory this. A bit off-topic, but somewhat of a same question: Does having in-form quality fellow batsmen in the top order, have a beneficial effect on the personal average? I can see why Cook's average has been lower, since he has lost AS for 12 different failing opening partners...

Am I the only ine who thinks bowling A&B is the right thing to do, no matter what?

*Official* Pakistan tour of Ireland, England and Scotland 2018

If Pak break this sooner, rather than later (edit: they just did), it's not that going to be easy. Boyd Rankin gets out in FC, once every 23 deliveries. That's probably a bit clouded by some tail-end slogging. Tim Murtaugh, judging by his FC-stats, is actually a decent bat!

    No **** Sherlock :D ! I'm with you mate. It's exciting!

*Official* Pakistan tour of Ireland, England and Scotland 2018

I'm quite excited about this! IMHO, we're not too far away from the point where a Pakistan win becomes improbable. Sure enough, if they pick up the last 3 wickets for not too many, they should get there without too much trouble. Survive until lunch! Around what time?
