    Best(current) commentators

It's just a shame that man's name comes up in a thread about 'best commentators'. No matter what the context is.

Well, after they can break through here, it will be the lower order of ABdV, FdP, TdB & QdK. Good luck running through that. Let's get real here, Aus are well & truely on the back foot here.

Time to get Big Vern on. Anyway, if a team gets this many runs for the tenth wicket, it can't be that bad to bat on :) .

Atherton, Hussain & Bishop are at the top, for me. A fair few come next. For very different reasons I have enjoyed Holding, Lloyd, Botham, Boycott and others. I have some (not much) experience in commentating myself. It's quite easy to say something utterly useless. I guess the hardest part...

Been following this match on cricinfo, but left the screen at 80/0 or so. Proper collapse this!

Is there any banter from QdK to DW?

Dean Elgar has more than decent ODI figures as well: 2/67 of 16. Maybe he is just a great bowler :-O ?

It's the idea of umpire's call on impact. Most can see why there should be an unpire's call on a trajectory prediction (I can't btw), but an umpire's call on impact seems rather odd. Without the grey area, the impact of this delivery would have been judged in line.

It indeed says so...... Weird mistake. The only thing I can think of is that they had a 50+ partnership for the 4th wicket. But that was not a exactly a rapid partnership by any standard.

Oh MMarsh........ Nevertheless a very good & usefull innings.

Sure enough this has been a very good recovery. But 270 is not that many, is it? SA favourites by a very slim margin, imho.

Just tuning in. Are SA a bit behind? 174/5 after 36 doesn't look too bright. Or is this not a typical 300+ deck?

Though not brillant in any way, simply presenting the opposition an opportunity to make a mistake is an often overlooked tactic. A bit like positioning a bunch of fielders on the rope on the leg side and asking the bowler to go short. Test batsmen shouldn't fall for that trap, but they do. So...

Well, 241 to win. How many overs left today?

***Official*** India in South Africa 2017/18

Will it? It probably will be on day 5, but we won’t get there. This pitch has been ‘hell’ to bat on from the word ‘play’ on day one. So far, I find it very hard to judge how much harder it has become. Doing the easy (& usually silly) thing and judge by the scores per innings, it’s becoming...

Well, that's news to me! I can see the wrong in forcing a player upon a captain (think Dhoni-Binny). But this seems just as bad. Especilly because, imho, Kohli hasn't proven himself as a captain.

Like many others, I'm not too impressed by Kohli as a captain. But surely he can't be the only one responsible for selection?

Oh dear. Another relatively simple catch missed!

That drop at gully might be very decisive!
