Dussey never looks much chop against decent spin in the sub-continent. He looks woeful at times in the IPL. He isn't in his brother's class against spin. Shaun Marsh's plan to play himself into the test team in the other formats is going well I see.

Yep, which Johnson isn't capable of doing that often.

Yep, agreed with that one, though I have more faith long term in Peter Siddle as I don't think he's a headcase in the same way that Johnson is. I'm hoping that Johnson is almost done. His record over the past year is pretty average, no-one is scared of him and why should they be?

About the only player that could be skipper is Watson. None of the others are in nick (White hasn't been in form for ages but that appears to be a prerequisite for being made skipper) or experienced enough. Haddin shouldn't even be in the team, I'll never understand why the only choice for the...

White said that he stuck with the seamers due to his gut feeling, but on no day is Johnson a death bowler. No matter how you are 'feeling'.

I'm trying to work out if we have a functioning middle order in any format. Some of the bowling was encouraging.

No, 2007 it was in SA (the reason I remember it is that Zim had a memorable win over the Aussies in the group stages) the Aussies got into the semi-finals. In 2009, they lost out in the group stages.

No the incarnation before that who I think played in the first World Champs. Warner was already in the team you are referring to and Johnson.

Nah when T20 first started the Aussies were good at it. When we had those brilliant ODI players like Symonds, Gilly, old school Punter and Martyn and Bracken. We don't have players of that quality anymore. Or with that sort of bottle.

Do you remenber what the team was like against spin in the World Cup? And how they got tied in knots in the second innings 2 matches running in the test series v India? I do.

Is that what it's called? He just can't stay still which is hardly the same thing.

Nannes was top wicket taker in that series. He is still worth his weight in this format. Saw him play in England and how nice to watch the stumps go cartwheeling. It is an underrated tactic to just effing well bowl at the stumps.

Just laugh about it. No point in questions. Not with our current admin. I'll bet Nielsen thought it was an excellent idea to save Mitch for the last over. And he probably thinks that it went for 4 runs. They never seem to see what the fans see.

I'm still fine with getting shot of Pup as a non-performer in T20. Nothing that happens here will ever change that one. White and Dussey can't play spin much and White is in stinking form. Shaun Marsh can play spin a bit better but I've never been sure that he's up to international cricket...

Because our spin bowlers are duff and our seamers are BRILLIANT. Apparently. SOK is the worst of all, hes so bad he can't even get a gig in the test team. Watch them pull out all the talk of 'rustiness' after this match. They use that one all the time.

Marsh not doing himself any favours. White will have to find some form from somewhere. Anywhere.

ey They don't really plan based on what's real. I love that they gave the biggest bottler of them all the last over.

    Australian Domestic Offseason 2011

But that's a reasonable analogy as it's the big dumb money makers that enable the smaller movies to get made by studios. It's the same with TV, the big cruddy reality raters enable the smaller public service and niche stuff to get made. Not that I'm saying test cricket is a smaller niche...

Good heavens, that's what it's come to. Aussie fans sounding like West Indian fans. Wish I could say I disagree.
