I was spot on, but I can't believe they did something so sane.

They should rest Johnson, Watson and Punter. They are all going to play in the test matches and have all played in the ODIs. No-one knows why Johnson bowls well or badly, so warm-ups, especially after the ODI series, are kind of irrelevant for him. Watson should be rested and we need to give...

    Why Gilchrist ahead of Sangakarra?

My favourite wingnut. I think half the reason I dislike Haddin so much is because he replaced Gilly. I should really let that one go!

Nice to see an Aussie other than Muss and Clarke using their feet properly against spin. Well played, Shaun Marsh.

    Why Gilchrist ahead of Sangakarra?

I find it weird that I thought of him as our rescuer because he did it so many times, yet people seem to think he came in with massive scores on the board all the time. He was so good because he seemed to shine under the pressure of an ongoing collapse.

    Why Gilchrist ahead of Sangakarra?

Because of this. 2nd Test: Australia v Pakistan at Hobart, Nov 18-22, 1999 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo :-O

Cricinfo having a very boring Hughes v Marsh debate. Boring and pointless seeing as how it's Marsh or Ussie for the test spot.

Yep, as soon as they were 6 down I thought they have to knock them over for 150 max if the wicket is turning. My word, the bowlers have been good in this series.

Crash bang wallop. Dilshan will open with spin at one end and Malinga at the other hopefully.

He certainly spanked some of the more ordinary attacks the Aussies faced around before throwing his wicket away continually. He's like Tharanga, plays and misses forever. Plus, even by his poor footwork standards, the examples he's shown in this series are standouts. You need an eye like...

Preshaaaa!! Smith just kind of walked sideways out of his crease. Is that kid learning anything while with the Australian team? I've not noticed any improvement in anything he does. He came in as a fantastic fielder so good fielding doesn't count.. Edit: I'm off. This sets up the rest of the...

That's the problem with having Clarke in early in a big chase. He needs hitters down the other end as he usually goes under the required rate. It's not his fault, he's just not a power player.

Horrid, isn't it? Haddin. Ho, ho. Lovely gate as always.

Anything over 280 they should send MJ up the order. They've only done it once and it worked very well. It doesn't matter if he gets out for not much but he always goes along at a good rate. His sr in the past 2 years is over 100 in ODI's. And his average is over 30.

Dilshan is a good part-timer. Love to see Dussey come up trumps here. Edit: I shouldn't have written that. I'll go away now.

He didn't, did he? Blimey, that's a first. It's a bit tough on Dussey and Smifth as the rate is nearing 8 except that neither of them are suited to sticking around so slogging might be the best thing anyway. Certainly for Smith.

It's all on the Muss's intense head.

Above 7. They need to keep an eye on it. Can't let it get above 8 before the last 10 overs.

On the other hand, he might have more of his big bro in him than he's shown so far.

He's not convincing against decent spin at all.
