e Hill seems to have been around a long time, I didn't realise he'd got that many matches already. Last year so many batsmen struggled. Difficult to see who is holding up their hands.

It would help Harris if Marsh plays or benchwarms for Aus, other than that he might not be getting automatic starts with WA and does Michael Hill ever get a proper run with Victoria? I'm a bit more interested in Lynn than any of them. He's scored some tough runs for Qld.

I mean big tons, not so much batting time. Dashing 50's are annoying. It would be amusing to see Wes Robinson in the team. Lot's of ugly 30's while a procession of batsmen comes and goes at the other end Old school.

Seems like too many of players who have a history of not batting long. Watson as an opener is not something I am comfortable long term for this reason, but then he'd have that problem anywhere I guess and he is fantastically useful as he is. I would really hope that some of the youngsters, like...

I'd like to see Khawaja opening as well and Watson at 4 with Clarke at 5. I don't know who is coming up to take over 3 - in a fantasy world I'd like Mitchell Marsh to suddenly launch himself as a batsman so that he can - but he may never be more than a LO player. But Punter ain't going...

It's a good sign for Ussie, don't you think? Marsh isn't likely to do well, he'll be nervous as hell and he's talking too much to the press and putting pressure on himself.

Sri Lanka won't be helped by roads now. They need to win at least one match, then a road might be on offer.

I can't see why a pitch that wasn't at all dangerous can be reported just because some of the batsmen found it difficult to bat on. I It made for a great match. They should report some of the truly crap shots played. Punter pulling in the second innings must have been worth a good talking to at...

I didn't have the sound up today. Didn't want to listen to shiny suited snake oil selling.

The Aussie tail from six down added twice as many runs as the Sri Lankans overall. In a low scoring match that's a big deal.

It's his first match. And they've won it. I hope he gets some breathing space. Of course winning matches didn't help McDonald who was a player who could do the same job.

Yeah, I always feel for players looking for the first biggie.

Very good team performance, which is the most encouraging thing about it. That and the fielding. For an individual performance, I've been so impressed with Watson's bowling. He's such a good user of the seam.

They look like they are going to win a match and it hasn't been with Johnson bowling miraculously. Be very odd to change the attack in those circumstances.

He's modelling his batting on Murali. Not his bowling obviously.

Excellent from Harris, so deserved. What do the other bowlers feel like when Johnson is spraying it around like a really bad graffiti artist?

What's normal for Johnson? I have no idea.

That was a good ball by Johnson.

Johnson is so horrible to watch with a shiny red ball in his hand.
