He has looked the part, but I can't quite believe what I've seen. Punter's catch took me back about 10 years with him.

Watson bowled very well on that 2008 tour to India. He was probably our best bowler.

Yes, he's used to bowl cutters really well back on the SA fantasy tour. He was bowling them in the one dayers..

He's not bowling at a much less pace than Mitch if you look at the speed readings, but Mitch (as so frequently) was getting nothing like this sort of movement.

It is keeping low but he's putting it on a lovely length for the pitch to have it's effect. And look at the seam and wrist position. Fecking lovely.

Lyon looks alright for a first gamer with stuff all first class experience. I know it's a helpful pitch but he's got a fair amount of control of length. He doesn't chuck in 3 or 4 half-trackers an over like Krayfish or look completely innocuous like Smith or Hauritz.. I know I said this but I...

That's yours, is it? Nicely written and the last bit is what I think of him. Never a dull moment with Johnson in the team. I just think he's been given the sort of athletic gifts that have forced him in some ways into being a top sportsman but he hasn't got a really competitive mindset. He...

There is that. Johnson needs to take more wickets though.

He does look clumsy at times. More so than I expected. But I'll bet he's a fast learner.

Then nicked Jensen Button's car and won a race.

Dire but funny innings. How many times did the ball just miss shaving the bat?

Ok, I rescind it. Bloody awful shot and he's lucky to be there anyhow. I **** I didn't repost fast enough!

Lovely shot off the back foot there, headcase. More please.

To give Johnson his due, I find many of our players dull, but he never is.

 He certainly is a once in a generation player.

Don't encourage that line of argument on this thread, I feel tired just thinking about it.

I really hope that Greigy is being paid a bloody big bag of dosh for all the stuffing spruiking.

I think the bowling has been pretty good, not sensational but very solid and there has been the odd jaffa bowled. Clarke's dismissal was funny as he's always talked up as our best player of spin. Punter got done in flight but I don't see why he was so keen on lofting the ball anyway. This is...

Nah he's doing ok. It's fairly tough out there, throwing his wicket away going for runs isn't the way to go. Hads would have been proud of that gate.
