    NRL transfers

Rumours are that the Warriors have all but signed Steve Price for a HUGE salary..like 3 times the amount he is earning at the Bulldogs. Apparently it is the same with Wiki but it's likely he'll end up going to England. Laui'iti freed up alot of money for the Warriors one thinks...although the...

NZ have made a few changes for Saturday nights test v Argentina at Waikato Stadium. I guess Henry, Hansen & Smith want to see what other players can do. All Blacks: (15-1) Nick Evans, Mils Muliaina, Tana Umaga (captain), Sam Tuitupou, Joe Rokocoko, Andrew Mehrtens, Byron Kelleher, Mose...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/3702753.stm interesting article I thought...he may be right, but from what I've gathered from English forum users..there's not much in the cupboard to replace him with at the moment.

**Official** New Zealand in England thread

Seeing as NZ's first tour match is only 3 or 4 days away against The British Universities at Fenners, I thought it's time we made the official thread.

    Lauiti'iti gone from Warriors...Jones next?

Shock news from the Warriors is that Ali Lauiti'iti is being released from his contract. Apparently this is because he no longer has the desire to play for the Warriors anymore & to possibly play league aswell. Any bets on which club he could end up at? Also there are strong rumours that...

    Congratulations Chris Cairns

He becomes the 6th player in history to take 200 test wickets & score 3000 test runs. He is also the 2nd New Zealander to join the list along side Sir Richard Hadlee.

    NZ league future stars

Damn, NZ is going to be awesome in a few years. Sonny Bill Williams, Benji Marshall, Karmichael Hunt, Marcus Perenara, Iaefeta Pae'leasina, Lance Hohaia...the list goes on. No wonder NZ is so useless at rugby now...all the talent has gone to league.

    West Indies

This thread was certainly not intended to start a flame war, but NZ's recent ease of which they have handled South Africa must raise questions as to the standard of cricket the West Indies are currently playing. Liam, I didn't see any of the West Indies tour to South Africa..but the general...

    Shane Bond close to comeback

I read in the paper this morning that there is a chance Bond could play in the tests against South Africa...apparently he bowled in the nets at Dunedin & felt good so here's hoping.

NZ to tour Australia this year?

I've just read reports that the West Indies are pulling out of their tour to Australia this year due to a heavy schedule. NZ are due to tour Australia in 2006, but its now possible NZ & The West Indies will swap tours. NZ will possibly play 2 tests in Perth & Brisbane, mid november then return...

Thoughts on State Shield final/ SOO match etc...

Well i've just arrived back from Christchurch & i'll post my views on what went on at the cricket. The State Shield final was sensational..I was sitting in a good position it seemed because all the sixes & fours seemed to be hit in my direction. Craig Spearman was sublime, but the key points...

    State Shield Final/S.O.O

Well, im really pleased the final will be in Christchurch. Since im going to be down there next week I now get to see both the final & the State of Origin match at Jade Stadium!. I think Canterbury will win the Shield Final, they have an awesome team at the moment.

    State Shield

I ended up going to Parachute for the day yesterday so I didn't see C.D v Auckland but it was great to see Oram coming back for C.D & leading by example...thats a very good sign. What a fantastic round of cricket though.

    They're at it again!

Pakistan have today sacked their 5 man selection panel. And reinstated Wasim Bari who was the head of selectors up until the conclusion of Pakistan's World Cup campaign in 2003. Absolutely crazy...

    N.D v Canterbury

Im looking forward to seeing some domestic cricket on tv today, and it looks as though the weather is clearing up so hopefully the ground will be dry enough by 2.30..although i'm guessing there will still be delays. As for the game, well i think we'll see another ridiculous 90/5 type scenario...
