    David Fulton

I have just been reading a scorecard from a Manawatu v Horowhenua Kapiti game & in the Manawatu team alongside the likes of Sulzberger, Ingram, Griggs & Ross Taylor is a guy named David Fulton. Do any of the English posters here know if David Fulton of Kent is playing district cricket here in...

    Ryder & Butler

Ive been impressed with Jesse Ryder today, his style of batting really reminds me of the way Sehwag batted in NZ just recently. I hope they don't throw him into the NZ team too early but even though he's scoring more runs than balls faced, its not an innings of slog..its an innings of excellent...

    Mark Gillespie - cool picture

This is a mad photo of Wellington's Mark Gillespie bowling yesterday.

    Marlon Samuels

Disappointing news for Windies fans about Marlon Samuels. He was beginning to become a key component in the West Indian batting lineup & im not sure Ryan Hinds will be able to replace the same level of skill.

    Craig McMillan is back!

Craig McMillan hit 122* off 107 balls including 14 fours & 4 sixes to help Canterbury to an easy win over Wellington. That must be a relief for both McMillan & the NZ selectors after his form was really putting his place in the NZ team under serious jeopardy.

    Harmison

Harmison is really not an ODI bowler at all. His first over has already given away 3 wides & a no ball aswell as two fours. England probably should have picked Adam Hollioake for the World Cup, or at least be giving Matthew Hoggard some game time.

    NZ all-rounders

Man, NZ is stacked with excellent all-rounders: Jacob Oram Andre Adams Chris Cairns Scott Styris Kyle Mills & now today we've seen Matthew Walker enter the equation with some excellent bowling against Auckland and there's Tama Canning too. Its just frustrating that we don't have many good...

A television commercial to be screened during next year's World Cup in South africa will show Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden in full New Zealand one-day garb. The commercial is for foreign exchange specialist Travelex, who will promote the motto: "There are some foreign exchanges we'll...

    Cairns out of NZ/India tests

But don't panic, he hasn't re-injured himself. Cairns had told Chairman of Selectors Sir Richard Hadlee that he felt he was not ready for test cricket so soon after his knee operation. Cairns a few months ago felt he couldn't play two tests, but last week told Hadlee that he could possibly...

    Astle signs for Derbyshire

Interesting...I hadn't heard anything about this, but while searching through the English Cricinfo site I found that Nathan Astle recently signed to be Derbyshire's 2nd overseas player.

    NZ Domestic Contracts

Tamara, its good to see that Peter Fulton was included in the domestic contracts for Canterbury so it shows that he is still very much being considered.

    Congratulations Tamara

"The selection enables 16-year-old schoolgirl Tamara Gould, who travels from Lake Tekapo to attend matches and training in Christchurch, the chance to make her Canterbury debut during the season. Burtt said she was an exciting talent who oozes enthusiasm and deserves the opportunity to train...

    NZ team for Indian series

I'd like to see a few changes for the NZ test team against India, presumably all players will be fit & im guessing they could use up to 14 players in the 2 tests. Openers: Mark Richardson - pretty easy selection, he's NZ's best opener at the moment. Gary Stead - has the Australian attitude &...

    Pakistan

Pakistan 46/5 after electing to bat first in Sharjah. Is it just me or is Shoaib Ahktar shadowing just how much dissaray the Pakistan team is in. Lets face the facts, if it weren't for Shoaibs spell in the 2nd innings in Colombo the result of the 1st test would have been a far greater margin...
