Suck it up, haterz. :D Is it time, though, to consider bringing referrals into domestic cricket? One per innings as they have in ODIs is hardly going to add much time to the game. Gloucs might well have used theirs before the last pair came together but if not that poor decision would have been...

Slipping away from Essex this, they're missing Napier now - situation would have been perfect for him.

And yet Kent, who have lights at Canterbury, have their match at 2 o'clock this afternoon - bizarre. Perhaps Worcs decided that floodlights would spoil their lovely ground and the view of the cathedral, in which case don't play evening fixtures there. Could get away with it in June maybe, not in...

Excellent magazine, but not easy to find.

How can there possibly be a problem with the light in an evening T20 game? Where are the floodlights? Game wouldn't have finished until about 8.15 in any case. Ashes 'Question of Sport' just starting on BBC1 btw, if anyone's interested.

I began to wonder if they were even going for it when I saw that Harinath had taken 127 balls to make 50, but it looks as if they've paced it pretty well. Sussex downed by 20 runs at Lord's despite a last-ditch 68 from Brown. Four wickets for Harris there, giving him 58 for the season to date.

Leicester home, couldn't manage it before tea but only needed two balls after the interval. Raine and McKay finished the job. Surrey want another 106 at Colchester, unfortunately they've just lost Roy who would have been the perfect choice for the job. Minimum of 15 overs but they should get at...

Leicestershire 51 away from a second win of the season against Derby, they broke their duck at Chelmsford of course but how good it would be for them to get one at home. Agathangelou gone as I write though, six wickets down now.

Northants opening with two keepers, while Josh Cobb is down to bat seven - curious. Having much the better of Kent anyway. I daresay Bairstow and Buttler are nailed on as keepers for the winter tours, but hopefully Duckett will get a go somewhere. Perhaps someone here knows what his keeping's...

Phil DeFreitas, on the next Ashes tour, was mine I think. The last England player older than me was 'Winker' Watkinson, 20 years ago now. :(

Tom's having a very good season, but Sam looks like he could be seriously good in time. I wonder why he hasn't been picked for England U-19s - that'll be rectified soon surely. Yorkshire 31-4 against Somerset at Scarborough, not helped by the 10.30 start. I thought they only did that in September?

Incredible turnaround at the Swalec - during the short rain break, with Glamorgan needing 95 off 46 balls to beat Kent, they showed disconsolate home supporters heading home - they might be wishing they'd stayed now that they need two off the last over!

Ben Harmison has his hundred for the season, the one that should ensure a contract extension as Kent finally start to push on. Worcs fell one short of the follow-on target - will Gale put them in again though?

Somerset all out with a lead of 70 and a possible 20 overs left. Oh well, always nice to have a day off..

Magoffin aside, the Sussex attack is truly grim these days - today Luke Wells has bowled 26 overs, against seven by Nash. And Wright hasn't been tried at all, which I can only assume means he's not fully fit. Taylor another one to fall short, in his case for 291. A run-soaked day so far, though.

Gone third ball - you'd have to say it didn't really come off. Runs coming in a torrent at Horsham - Taylor and Read are just 14 off the county 6th wicket record of 372, set by the slightly unlikely pair of Kevin Pietersen and John Morris. Edit: did for Read there - sorry Notts fans - always...

Haven't seen much of him, but a 100 against Australia counts for something I'm sure. I dare say he's somewhere on the production line of future Cook partners. No 300 for Alviro - gone for 286. James Taylor still there on 264.

Prince gone for 261 - partnership of 501 with Petersen. 39 came in 3.3 overs after lunch - that's what you call pushing on.

Gary Keedy playing for Notts I see - extending his f-c career into a 22nd season. Yes good timing from Taylor - first hundred of the season - on to 225 now and will surely be allowed to add a few more if he can.

This is Colwyn Bay of course, a ground on which Steve James once hit a triple hundred - I imagine Petersen will be given the chance to do likewise. Yes Surrey will be liking this score as Glamorgan are the main threat and a win for them in this game is starting to look somewhat unlikely.
