  • Even though you're a dirty Arsenal fan, I've always thought you were a top bloke Brumbers. Keep on rocking my good man.
Haha well probation ends next week so...lol nah I think it's pretty obvious I completely agree with you. Fortunately I've put the most frequent recent contributor to that thread on ignore. I know how you felt back in the day now; plenty of threads where there are five new posts but all from one person whom I have on ignore.

As for Weller, you know, I've always enjoyed his work, but never explored it in the depth I probably should. I love his approach to music as well. Definitely considering investing in the latest.
I get the same impression too; said in a few interviews that he didn't have to think about how the songs would sound in a stadium which obviously helps one just write a song.

I am still on probation so won't say too much but what makes me laugh most is the lengths certain members will go too to try and justify an opinion they've clearly inherited from their country's board. Cringeworthy doesn't do it justice.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Shoot A Hole Into The Sun - YouTube

The guitars at 4 minutes = immense. Lap it up IMO.
Thought so. He's done a few tracks here and there with the Arctics, nice dark voice, if you know what I mean. You think his stuff would be up my street?

He played with Pulp as well didn't he?
Is Richard Hawley someone I've read you mentioning in the music threads?
    Because Jack is lazy. :P

He got banned for posting a gif image of a monkey urinating in its own mouth. Was just 7 though.
Oh aye, had a good chuckle at that in my dark and lonely banned period. Going out now but will see if I can add any value later. Deserves another read anyway. Jake's Bleeding Knob topped the lot, IMHO.
Brumbers, what album do you reckon was the best "remember your a Womble", or "the New Goodies?

    Happy New Year btw.
Never explored them but don't really remember hearing a song I didn't like. Used to tape their songs off the radio in the Britpop days and all that. Lad in work went to see them 2 weeks back atcually, would have been the same tour I guess.
BTW, dug that Seahorses album back in the day. Worth noting that Little James wasn't Liam Gallagher's first writing credit but rather Love Me and Leave Me which IIRC he co-wrote with Squire on the day Squire guested with them at Knebworth
Yeah, never saw them myself but given what I've seen on TV/heard etc, inclined to agree

Can't see the reunion lasting too long though. I've been wrong before mind
Be interesting to see if they come up with a whole new album or just a few tracks, and if they do what the sound is like. Have to admit that new stuff from them and Noel's psychedelic album are the music I'm most excited about for 2012, young forwards looking man I am
Thought that would be your answer for question 1 - one of those discussions that is an interesting one IMO - given that Definitely Maybe is close to being the holy grail of music for me, you'll not be surprised to hear I rank it higher, but can see the argument for either

As for question 2 - ashamed to admit this but I only bought it today . Enjoyed my first listen, we'll see.
Two very important questions for you

    1. Definitely Maybe or The Stone Roses?
    2. Thoughts on Second Coming?
