  • Hey Brumby - was wondering what you meant/implied when you said that Bond is supposed to be an old Etonian. I know it's a very famous school, but what does having gone there mean?
hey Brumbers, you got it was irony on my part about trego, I compared him to waqar younis once ffs, I worry at times I'm to oblique for my own good, generally get amused when people argue my points though, but the robot seemed adamant, made me wonder if it was consensus. Next they'll be thinking I really think Dasher Denning and the Demon of Frome, to be better than Richards and Botham, which I think I've said on occasions...

    thanks

don't follow it super closely, but do watch the odd game on Foxtel

am a closet Man U man
Nothing about a game that goes for 90+ minutes and still end without either team scoring makes sense tbf.
Yeah, from what I know about him he hasn't lived a conventional rock star's life. He's as cool as **** though.
Haha, both points pretty much match my thoughts. That and how ****ing good Squire sounded.

Oh dear, I seem to have angered the "murali isn't a chucker, 'onest guv, sarwan, sarwan, sarwan, only sarwan" coves.

    shame.
When I went to see macca he did A Day In The Life segued into Give Peace A Chance but obv he co-wrote the former and the latter was more of a tribute, similarly he does Something and dedicates it to 'my good friend George'. Rest of the show it's pure Macca songs yeah.

The songs they played were Rock N Roll Star and Morning Glory. Obviously songs that he's decided Noel isn't going to perform at any point. I agree with the point about it was his voice that made them special and he's been singing them for close to two decades; he's said he considers them his songs just as much as they are Noel's.

I thought we might have seen Songbird or something but I suppose the best argument in it's favour is that it's giving the people a good time. You may remember when Noel packed on touring for a little while in 2000; same core band played the songs then to no complaints. Doesn't feel quite the same though.
Where does Brumby stand on the most important debate in society currently; Beady Eye playing two oasis songs at both of their last two gigs (Noel-penned ones at that)?
br00mby. I know you don't live in London, but do you know any good suburbs to stay in that is close to Chiswick Park station?
I always thought he'd get better. As I said to benchy just now, he just needed to realise he wasn't fighting a war in the name of the West Indies when he posted here and he would've been fine. Kinda disappointed that we could never get that through to him and that he needed to be banned, tbh, although I won't lie in saying that if someone had to ban him permanently I'm glad I got to do it.
