That is such a kick in the balls.
Great game just a shame Newcastle lost their heads after the 1st goal. I think they win it if Joelinton and Tonali play the 90min.

Rio is seriously special. Also Szoboslai deserves more respect he's a machine

I think Amorin brings Maguire on as he sees him as a goal threat.I think Mount is a No 8.I've always thought he is a good player.Tuchel is a fan oh is too. From what I've heard over the years is that managers like how quickly Mount understands new tactics.
Klopp supposedly wasn't happy to lose out on Mount. I actually think he would have done fine at Pool but Mason was all about the money thus why he went to United. Liverpool tbf have done ok since then.

Maguire been brought on is caveman stuff but tbh he can be a menace in the box so makes sense.

Midfields a glaring problem and they sign 3
forwards. All while Rashford, Antony and Sancho haven’t been sold.
United's are playing a 33 year old Casemiro and a near 31 year year old number 10 as their midfield , that's not remotely serious in the premier league especially considering how other competent teams line up in that position.

Im not a Mount fan despite Amorim and ETH falling for the allure of him. I finally see what he is though. He’s a 10. So again under yet another manager United have too many 10s. We can blame the managers but it keeps happening.

There was 10 mins or so 2nd half with Bruno and Mount as the CDM pair. Went how you would expect it would. Could have been worse. Maybe like ETH Amorim thinks he can have a midfield without a ball winner or holding player?
Mount can play as an 8 easily enough. He kind of did play that role in the first half where he dropped deeper and helped Bruno out in the defensive phase I don't really see him as a problem in the setup, and I think he actually aids overall play since he moves the ball quickly and is very mobile off the ball and in the defensive phase. There's a decent player there - his challenge is with injuries.

Mount is a handy player, good technically and tactically flexible, coaches love him and players like playing with him. He’s a bit limited though. We massively overpaid for him and then he got injured a lot, but we’re usually better when he plays.

I actually think it's not a coincidence that his career fell off a bit when five substitutions became the norm. I feel like he was quite good at making runs that opposition midfielders just couldn't track for 90 minutes, but now there's more fresh players on the park to deal with it. That flexibility is less useful now as well because chances are there's a specialist at a particular position just able to come straight into the game as well rather than shuffling him around.

Deal as good as done as of this morning, apparently.
Hincapie is a top quality signing and wanted by a few big clubs. I wonder what sort of assurances have been made to him about minutes etc.

You typically don't get a player like that leaving a UCL side to be a 3rd choice bench option.

Newcastle losing always amusing these days.

Really like Liverpool's kit this year. Very sharp. Reminds me of one of the ones they had during the Rafa years.
I got the new kit last week. Took a little while to get here but after unpackaging it I have decided I can't wear it.

I'll take it to get framed on the weekend. It's going up in the study.

Gutted we lost to Liverpool, we deserved atleast a point from that game the way we fought from 2-0 down with 10 men ..

Isak saga will cost us this season big time , it's disappointing a solution has not been reached.

Utd are overpaying for players and it has caught up with them , they have lost all sense of value for money , the snowball effect is that the price tag and expectation is weighing the players down ..
And when they get rid of players it's at a crazy discount most of the time ..

Yeah you were definitely the better team overall, even when you were down to 10 men. Don't know what Gordon was doing though.
For us, Ibou has been horrendous and Kerkez, Wirtz have been really weak.
Vvd putting in all timer performances at the back with Szobo, Ekitike doing really well is what is getting us those wins.

You guys showed great heart and fight to come back but respectfully, you don't deserve any points when your intent is to injure opposition players.

Played the occasion (and bought into the fake hype built by the media) rather than the actual game of football.

Liverpool actually had more yellow cards than us , and we made 17 fouls to their 15 , it was just a competitive game of football , we deserved a draw but anyway Leeds away is massive this week we need a W.

Yeah Liverpool look suspect at the back ..
Not the best time to be playing Arsenal , a ruthless team built on a great defense , watch out for their dark arts on corners

Yeah, I think he’s very good. Title or bust territory now

That's more an indictment on how poor the referee was than anything else. He was better 2nd half but only marginally.

Our fouls may have been cynical but some of the Newcastle tackles were completely reckless
