Haha I remember a few on here saying United had the perfect squad for Amorim when he first signed.
They cant really sack the guy now, they had their chance after the Europa final and they doubled down instead of making amends.

It's not a physical profile I find that exciting personally, maybe he has a bit more pace and power than it's looked like so far or in his Leipzig highlights. I'm already seeing us fall into the Lukaku trap of playing long balls to a striker who's tall, but actually not a remotely effective target man.

The midfield is a big issue for MU.Fernandes is not at his best playing deeper.Casemiro and Ugarte haven't got the legs needed for the PL.Where does Mount fit into the formation?
I said at the time of his appointment that he doesn't have the personality to be a good fit as WHU manager.He doesn't gel with the fans and is more of a fit at say Bournemouth.I have nothing against him but this is my take.

Im not a Mount fan despite Amorim and ETH falling for the allure of him. I finally see what he is though. He’s a 10. So again under yet another manager United have too many 10s. We can blame the managers but it keeps happening.
There was 10 mins or so 2nd half with Bruno and Mount as the CDM pair. Went how you would expect it would. Could have been worse. Maybe like ETH Amorim thinks he can have a midfield without a ball winner or holding player?
What’s the take on Amorim like ETH routinely swapping multiple CBs late in games? That’s 2 managers so it isn’t “in game management” it must be sports medicine related?

System heavily relies on specialist wingbacks to provide width and attacking threat. So not really. Dalot, Mazroui and an unfit Luke Shaw does not fit that.

I think Amorin brings Maguire on as he sees him as a goal threat.I think Mount is a No 8.I've always thought he is a good player.Tuchel is a fan of his too.From what I've heard over the years managers like how quickly Mount understands new tactics.
