Lions tour 2025

2 of my mates are far more qualified to speak about it than me

Both say that Lynagh lacks athleticism and won’t make it
He's literally playing for his country, feels like he's kind of made it already.

Although, if he wasn't called Lynagh I wonder if he'd have done as well....

At fly half? I wasn’t impressed by him on Saturday but that’s a weird take.
nah, these guys are in a position to know

I ventured that the pack was being overpowered and Gordon sucks so on a hiding anyway

They simply said he doesn’t have the raw athletic talent to run away from trouble and that’s always been the knock on him

**** me did we all hallucinate 38yo Johnny ***ton running the world’s number 1 attack. I thought I remembered it pretty clearly but according to Social’s really cool mates who definitely know what they’re talking about it’s impossible. Must be someone involved in Australian rugby, which we all know has an impeccable record at identifying talent.

Some of the best fly halves haven't been the quickest, but they've often sat behind dominant packs who have afforded them more time. I guess young Lynagh is not going to get away with that benefit.

I recall that wonderfully athletic No. 10 and Randwick legend Lloyd Walker. About the only bloke I've seen who could walk around a field, evade defenders and set up tries.

I don't doubt social's mates are knowledgeable rugby but to provide that take as an expert opinion they'd need to be heavily involved in top tier, professional rugby - either at international level now or in the past or who have worked with Lynagh during his career.

Lynagh isn't the next Larkham, therefore he isn't good enough, and at 22, we should be writing him off as a bust and failure. Until a small #10 with a **** #9 and a forward pack being overpowered to victory against the Lions, they'll never make it.

Hmmm, Aus concede penalties on line, no punishment. Lions do and it’s yellow. He seems to be only reffing one team at the mo.

However, failure to pick Genge looks a major error. Lacking power in the pack.

Looks a proper test match, this. Skelton and Valentini have made a massive difference, tiptoeing through the tulip fields of the bleedin' obvious as I am.

Yeesh, Furlong won't wanna see that try too often. Bought Gordon's dummy completely.

Actually Wobs are gonna be out of sight soon. 23-5, kick to come.

Said Freeman was a lucky boy to be on the pitch, but we look worse without him!

Lynagh minor misses.

Wallabies and blowing leads, name a better combo.

Just had to hold on to that lead into the half.

**** this is a better game all round than last week though.

Wallabies have been surprisingly good but their defence breaks down under sustained pressure. Lions always looked likely when thy started getting the ball. I have to say Valetini looks quite a player and knows how to get over the adv line. The two centres look strong and powerful too.
