I know Newcastle had to sell last year but with CL football this season do you have to this summer?Jeez, signing Isak and Rodrygo would be a nice way to close out the summer window.
Still fully expect Guehi to happen too

There's now way too much smoke to not be a fire. It's up to the player it seems.I know Newcastle had to sell last year but with CL football this season do you have to this summer?
Xhaka would be awesome, he's still good enough to make a big difference.Sunderland have made a move to sign Granit Xhaka
who knows but I wonder why SAFC never made a move for Henderson before he signed for Brentford
He was captain at safc back in 2010 and though it was disappointing he left but expectedXhaka would be awesome, he's still good enough to make a big difference.
Henderson not so much anymore. Maybe it was wage related, not sure what he was on at Ajax. In all likelihood both parties probably figured it was best to leave the legacy in the past.
Is he liked/respected in Sunderland? I remember bits of his documentary but not too much about his departure and if it was on amicable terms. My memory is terrible.
I though Amorim is turning that club aroundBring on the desolation, a forward line of Rasmus, Zirkee and Jackson.![]()
I would have thought you still have a chance to get Isak somewhere down the line and from an outsiders perspective, I thought that Newcastle would be able to keep him at least for this season. Issue is down the line with him as you suggest. I know there is a lot of smoke and mirrors with some of these transfers but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for Ekitike going to Newcastle without them selling Isak or probably at least a couple of their other major players?Isak deal is off, LFC advancing for Ekitike, contract is agreed and Newcastle have walked away from any deal with Frankfurt.
From an LFC perspective, disappointing to miss the world class target but was always an ambitious play. I really wanted Isak but we'll pay significantly less for Ekitike, have an exciting prospect who by all reports is quality, and we'll likely have money to spend on other squad options, like Guehi and Rodrygo. All the eggs aren't in the one basket and we haven't enabled another English club and potential rival to invest like we did after Coutinho was sold.
I wonder what it means for Newcastle though... not a good look to get in the way of a player's ambition but simultaneously shows the project is serious. They will have to find another way to alleviate the FFP pressure so they can build their squad for Europe.
While the LFC move is over, it's likely Isak leaves somewhere else next summer anyway so they will have to hope he signs that contract extension and his value continues to increase.
I doubt we go back in for him again tbh. He will be 27yo next summer and we're entering the final 2 years of Mo and Virg which is our window to maximise success. I think it was a now or never opportunity for him, we'll spend up for Ekitike and he will still be our guy in 12 months time. The remaining cash will be spent elsewhere on the squad. Football moves quickly and we won't wait.I would have thought you still have a chance to get Isak somewhere down the line and from an outsiders perspective, I thought that Newcastle would be able to keep him at least for this season. Funny how Trent was bad for moving but Liverpool fans expect Isak to force a move and that is fine. There's now way too much smoke to not be a fire. It's up to the player it seems.
This would have been shut down months ago if either Isak and Newcastle weren't willing to make it happen

Entitlement? I'd say it comes with the territory of being the best in the country. The entitlement of the Liverpool fanbase is unmatched.
Trent wasn't bad for leaving, he was bad for how he left. I dont know why anyone expected Isak to force it.Funny how Trent was bad for moving but Liverpool fans expect Isak to force a move and that is fine.
Just saying...
Need to keep Wissa now. Cant lose your 2 best players and a good midfielder as well as the manager in one summer.Yeah that will be that. Easily in my top 3 favourite Brentford players ever, really hope he does well at Utd.
No need for that kind of modesty, you're a bigger club than them nowreally hope he does well at Utd.
If someone wants to pay stupid money then he will go.Need to keep Wissa now. Cant lose your 2 best players and a good midfielder as well as the manager in one summer.
