Feel very sorry for Palace fans, but the rule the club has run afoul of seems pretty clear and self-evidently sensible to me.
Yeah, seems an eminently avoidable ****-up. Whereas 1991 was nothing to do with us.

We finished third in the old First Division but English clubs weren't yet fully readmitted following the Heysel ban.
You and Luton were hit worst by Heysel weren't you. Also Everton i guess as they must have had a good chance in European Cup in 86.

Yeah, Everton had a terrific side who had just won the ECWC. They must have been appalled to miss out on the European Cup to the actions of some of the supporters of their nearest and dearest. And again when they won the league two years later. I suppose the thing about Luton and us was that was our only chance to play in Europe and it was taken from us. Ditto Wimbledon when they won the FA Cup in 1988 of course.

VG in, let’s do this thang
Good signing, I like it.

I suspect Arsenal are going to be more of a transitional team this season, Gyokores, Saka and Madueke on the counter is a scary thought. Zubi is a huge addition cause he will set the tempo and can compensate for Rice's lack of progressive passing. It's clear with the signings that Arteta is trying to get more output from the attack and the profiles indicate a very direct style of play.

I still think there's a gap to LFC and City but another signing or two fixes that

Chelsea winning the club world cup just confirms what a dreadful idea the whole thing was.
I know tongue in cheek post but I actually really like the concept. It is a good tournament they just need to pick the timing and location better next time.

Well done CFC, they seem to have a habit of winning trophies when they're the underdog. PSG are no joke, so as salty as everyone else wants to be about it, that's an impressive victory.

Watched the first half and the way Cole Palmer just kept popping up unmarked, and in dangerous areas of the pitch really caught my eye. If Tuchel can seize upon that for England, he may be a game changer.

Speaking of England I just had this horrible intrusive thought that if Daniel Farke fails at Leeds, we might end up with a Gareth Southgate coming in in December to lead the relegation fight (or worse yet administer relegation last rites)

Well it’s been 9 years of fun and we return to the premier league

it appears the management , are having a go and spending money unknown in our history

hope some saw the play offs and the absolute joy that brought to the Sunderland fan

im expecting a race to fourth bottom and I think we might achieve just that

Jeez, signing Isak and Rodrygo would be a nice way to close out the summer window.

Still fully expect Guehi to happen too
