Sinner case sounds like a smart lawyer drove a bus through a small loophole and utilised his client's stature to its fullest

Can see why others are pissed as generally takes a long time to resolve these things and involves a bit more than a few chats during the course of a day not to mention that the staff allegedly to blame received no sanctions whatsoever

On another note, had to smile at Alcaraz making his coach eat his words after Ferrero recently questioned his commitment

Wimbledon has completely passed everyone by on here, including me tbh. Seems like the electronic line judges have been the biggest controversy. Hopefully Sinner v Alcaraz II will be better than the women's.

Yeah I came here for a read yesterday and was shocked to see the last post was June 10

Didn’t see much outrage at Sabalenka predicting that Swiatek would win it in a walk after losing her sf to Anisimova

Journos must’ve realised that she was likely right

Swiatek doesn’t lose finals, and neither up till today does Alcaraz. But I fancy Sinner to get revenge today and wouldn’t be surprised if it was straight sets. His dismantling of Djokovic was ruthless.

But yeah, a largely forgettable tournament so far. Too much other good sport on…

They're just two players who messed up their dosing schedule; I can't believe doping isn't widespread in tennis.
There are two sports where the levels of fitness have always astonished me. How tennis players can go for 4 hours or more playing at such a high intensity seems questionable (you don't do that in team sports).

The other is cycling!!

Yep, although I remember watching Gareth Bale do an 80 yard full pelt sprint in the 119th minute of a match while playing for Madrid a few years ago, which made me scratch my head a bit.

But what did he do straight after it? Was he serving it up again 25 seconds later?

Dunno but he'd been galloping down the line for the previous 119 minutes.
Well there were quite a few questions thrown at that Barca team who seemed to have more energy for pressing than had ever been seen before. Seem to remember Nadal being part of that conspiracy too....

Pretty grim day for the sport with that result tbh
Why?
Grim weekend, both winners have questions to answer.
He served his suspension, van be no doubt he's clean now and is the best player on your.

I'll repeat, never seen a player hit the ball so cleanly in all my time watching the sport.

Hope this rivalry continues for a decade.
Expect him to take the US Open as well.

The Australian Institute of Sport did some research into the relative fitness of top level athletes years ago with cycling and boxing coming out miles ahead

Anyway, virtually every professional athlete in aerobic based sports is a freak who could run a marathon without training
