Read somewhere that her and Iga were doing it since last year?Yeah, and I don't think it's her first time doing something like that either.
In contrast, some impressive words from the winner herself.

Coco Gauff ‘proud to represent Americans that look like me’ in French Open final triumph
Coco Gauff said she hoped she had provided some positivity for her supporters given the political situation in the United Stateswww.theguardian.com
Oof - I've only just read about her post match interview, having only seen her immediate speech on court after the final previously and the post match conference comes across as bitter. The racket-smashing after defeat to Keys in Australian Open, the towel draped over head - its not a popularity contest and she has been by far the best and most consistent player on tour in the last couple years with her mentality but you can express disappointment whilst still showing some graceGray win by Coco today and really looking forward to the clash of the Titans tomorrow.
But have you guys seen the Sabalenka post match interview?
It was so incredibly classless.
It was wild, tone-deaf and disrespectful af.
I had totally forgotten it was Keys who she lost to.Oof - I've only just read about her post match interview, having only seen her immediate speech on court after the final previously and the post match conference comes across as bitter. Sinner needs to lean into his surname a little (beyond the drug thing) as Alcaraz is the pin up and probably going to be the fan favourite.Just needs some side characters as well, Some regeneration of Jo Wilf-Tsonga, Marcelo Rios, Juan Martin del Potro, Ivanisevic, Rafter, Wawrinka level guys
That was arguably the greatest tennis match I've ever watched. Certainly at the French.I wondered if men's tennis would struggle a little once the big 3 had gone but these two, if they stay fit, could create a tennis era as epic as the great ones of old.
Ummm Zverev, Musetti, Tiafoe, Rune, Draper, seems like a solid supporting cast.Just needs some side characters as well, Some regeneration of Jo Wilf-Tsonga, Marcelo Rios, Juan Martin del Potro, Ivanisevic, Rafter, Wawrinka level guys
Draper won Indian Wells (beating Alcaraz in the semis) and looks like being our Andy Murray for the next decade. He's got all the weapons to be a massive threat to the Big 2 and Alcaraz has spoken how his massive lefty forehand lives in his head. Now at 4 in the world, he really should make the semis at Wimbledon (unless he gets Novak in quarter).I'll give you Zverev, the other lads I've not heard much on. Tbf my tennis consumption is wayyyy down these days
I can get with you on Draper, I love his potential.Draper won Indian Wells (beating Alcaraz in the semis) and looks like being our Andy Murray for the next decade. Good to see Alcaraz beating the junkie. He's now won his first 5 Slam Finals (another Spaniard who doesn't lose Finals), I believe Federer has the record at 9.
As for Sabalenka, she made 70 unforced errors so I think she can kind of justify her claim. She's actually one of the more likeable players so I'm willing to give her some leeway on this one, and has since clarified comments too.
Yeah, that was poor - agreed. I remember when Coco first came on the scene at Wimbledon, that little skinny teenager, she's very much more Serena now and will surely take a lot of beating on the grass which suits her more than clay.Calling Sinner the junkie is a bit much, guy has as much talent as anyone I've ever seen and hits the ball cleaner than any.
But saying that Iga would have beaten Coco and acknowledging other players other than the one who just beat her, talking shite about how Coco was framing shots that magically made it back into the court, and saying she only won because Aryna played badly was bullshit and indefensible. She's a grown ass woman.
Respectfully of course.
Two genuine questions if you don't mind.Yeah, that was poor - agreed. I remember when Coco first came on the scene at Wimbledon, that little skinny teenager, she's very much more Serena now and will surely take a lot of beating on the grass which suits her more than clay.
As for Sinner, if he hadn't been Number 1 he'd have been getting a 1 year ban. No doubting his talent, but there's a few question marks for me now.
I think it somewhat depends on how much you believe the excuse given which nailed it all on the physio. If there was a genuine honest mistake, would Sinner have settled for a 3 month doping ban which now sits permanently on his resumee? My suspicion is that there was more going on, that it did benefit him and that he was more than happy for a 3 month ban when he wouldn't have been competing for the first 4 weeks anyway. Two genuine questions if you don't mind.
Do you think it impacts his performance?
And do you think the 1 year ban is warranted regardless of rank?
I kind of land on no on both fronts. If they said they believed him, I'm cool with the 3 months tbh.

I don't know if one year is warranted, but there should be consistency no matter what the calibre of player. To offer him 3 months that conveniently ended right before the Rome Masters just stank.
He does seem like a genuinely nice fella, but I'd still rather others won big events.
Saba for someone with all her talent really should have won more than 3 slams at this stage of her career. She blew that final and it wasn't her first, some of her semi final losses over the years just diabolical. The most infamous was the comedy loss to Muchova at the french and to Fernandez in the US a slam that she should have won in second gear.As for Sabalenka, she made 70 unforced errors so I think she can kind of justify her claim. Yeah, she currently has the same number of slams as Murray and Wawrinka who were having to compete against 3 of the best who have ever played the game. They absolutely maximised their talents, she's almost the complete opposite. The level of competition is really not that strong in the Women's at the mo, she ought to be nearing double figures.Saba for someone with all her talent really should have won more than 3 slams at this stage of her career. Obviously 3 slams is very good and her bank balance is bulging but I wouldn't put money on her reaching five before she retires which is a poor return for someone so elite.
