Sure and once again I am not arguing he is the best now but is certainly on that track if he somehow manages to overcome his body breakdown, hence the buzz.do some era adjustment

Really close to your numbers, 20 ATG bats, 16 ATG pacers, 3 spinners, 3 keepers.I reckon about 20 ATG batsman, 12-13 ATG pacers, 3 ATG spinners.
if my grandma had wheels...Sure and once again I am not arguing he is the best now but is certainly on that track if he somehow manages to overcome his body breakdown, hence the buzz.
Hey we agree on somethingI have no view of the matter since I think comparison between bats and bowlers is stupid
Yeah, it was too extreme a change to make sense.I didn't buy it
And Pollock?Or maybe it because he has over 200 wickets@19 with a complete skillset and hence is generating this buzz.
So you're proving my point? There have been several candidates but they just didn't last long.
This would make sense if framed the way you're putting it forward, but they are many saying he's already clearly the best ever, first name of the sheet.Sure and once again I am not arguing he is the best now but is certainly on that track if he somehow manages to overcome his body breakdown, hence the buzz.
Speaking of keepers - though this probably isn’t the thread for this, found an interesting piece by Davis from 10 years ago in my bookmarks. Analysis of fielding in general and missed chances from 2000-2015, though he himself says probably only 2003 onwards would be definitive. Miss rates for leading keepers were about 10% off pacers, and 30% for spinners (also includes stumpings). Keeping to a spinner a real test.Really close to your numbers, 20 ATG bats, 16 ATG pacers, 3 spinners, 3 keepers.
Is it so much comparing them skill wise, or comparing them based on where they comparatively fall within their own disciples?Hey we agree on something
Both I guessIs it so much comparing them skill wise, or comparing them based on where they comparatively fall within their own disciples?
Yeah, agreed.Speaking of keepers - though this probably isn’t the thread for this, found an interesting piece by Davis from 10 years ago in my bookmarks. Simple question, who is a greater threat right now to Mcgraths and Sachins standings respectively, Bumrah or Steve Smith? This would make sense if framed the way you're putting it forward, but they are many saying he's already clearly the best ever, first name of the sheet.
That's nonsense. I'm not even putting him past Wasim as yet.
Bumrah is obviously more skilled than Pollock and everybody can see that. Hence the hype. And Pollock?
Was he also ridden reverse cowgirl?
So you're proving my point?
If Jasprit Bumrah ends with 300+ wickets at sub 20, he is a threat to Malcom Marshall’s legacy himself.Simple question, who is a greater threat right now to Mcgraths and Sachins standings respectively, Bumrah or Steve Smith?
You also thought he was serious.Yeah, it was too extreme a change to make sense.
I don't know what point you've been trying to make of late, but the inconsistencies are wild and making it not only harder to take you seriously, but taking away from who was once seen as among the better posters on the forum.
Currently neither are, but both have a chance to get there.Simple question, who is a greater threat right now to Mcgraths and Sachins standings respectively, Bumrah or Steve Smith?
Wasim is more "skilled" than McGrath and Ambrose, they're still better.Bumrah is obviously more skilled than Pollock and everybody can see that. Hence the hype.
Thanks for stating the obvious. Who has more chance?Currently neither are, but both have a chance to get there.
PACEMay I ask who was?
Spin and pace?
