Starc did pretty well last ashes over in England didn't he?
Yes he did. He was the pick of the Aust bowlers

However I feel the conditions were far from typical English conditions as the wickets were flattened out to benefit bazball sloggers and they were playing as if they were LO games. That is a sort of thing against Starc thrives in.

I think on what would be a traditional Lords wicket against batters who bat normally, the other 3 are comfortably superior

Yes. If they are all fit enough to get through a test, and that is a big if, Starc is comfortably the worst bowler for the conditions though
I just don’t know how he can be trusted to get through a test right now

Presuming you are still talking about Hazlewood not Starc, unfortunately I have to agree. Would pick a fully fit Haze all day everyday, but with him having an injury plagued summer and having played nothing but T20s since returning I really can't see how to have faith in him getting through a full Test match workload. Not the biggest fan of the cotton wool approach in a general sense but in his case it has its merits imo

A Cummins-Starc-Boland-Lyon attack with Webster to provide some extra overs sounds pretty decent to me

Yeah was talking about hazelwood. I think boland has picked up some pace and we know he can actually get through a test

Seems final selection for WTC Final are Konstas or Labushagne to open. This leaves Smith, Green, Head and Webster in the middle order.

There's also Hazlewood or Boland but thats purely to do with Haze fitness

Will anyone be surprised if Haze breaks down again?

Boland is in the top 5 bowlers in the world and should be picked but won’t be

Hazelwood has come back to India to play the IPL. Must be fully fit for the WTC final surely for this to happen.

Perhaps the 3 SLAs and Starc. I haven't seen enough of Seales.

There are a few below him on the rankings who are better though.
He averages 17 in tests and 23 in fc cricket

Should be the 2nd bowler picked for Australia which has by far the best attack

Cummins, Hazlewood and Lyon are as good or better than him. They understandably pick Starc for pace, left arm, and batting.

If NZ gets Jamieson fit we will have the best attack. Henry, WOR, KJ + 1/2 > Australia

Kiwis have an average attack & hoping Jamieson will be reliable is like England banking on Archer
