Green at 3
That I can live with but difficult to see happening. I'd rather have Green at 3 than him at 6 as he likes the ball coming on and he is a good player playing in the V so it won't be the worst move to give him a bit of a run at 3. I think Webster is too good a player not to be a permanent member of the side. He can be the genuine all rounder where as Green can focus more on his batting. Sheer upgrade they would have on the slip cordon worth a mention too

However I think they would feel number 3 is a spot too high for Green especially when he is returning from an injury and looks to be in pretty dire form in the CC. Smith has a great record at 3 so if they are going down the Marnus opening route, they'll push Smith to 3

For the WTC though, I'd stick with Konstas. I didn't like it when they picked him but they picked him to play in a certain way and he did play in that way and made a difference to the series. I can understand overlooking him in SL which is the correct decision but he should play here at least for the sake of some consistency in team selection

Usman
Konstas
Marnus
Smith
Head
Webster
Carey
Starc
Cummins
Lyon
Boland

Can't trust Hazlewood to survive a test sadly

Crazy WTC prep in county Green is having

112, 3, 4, 2, 8, 102*

Guessing when he bats on next day he'll add <10

Marnus got a 9 ball duck on county return and got done in by harry conway. Is he cooked?
Been cooked for the last couple years

Don't think we should trust Green for the game either though.

I'd go with Konstas and Inglis over Green or Marnus

Josh English has a gate big enough to fit in two temba bavumas or a single rahkeem cornwall. He wouldn't make a run batting in the top five

Green now 325 runs @ 54.00 so I'm starting to come around.

Funny thing is he has 307 runs @ 153.50 vs Kent in 2 games but only 18 runs @ 4.50 against everyone else 😀

Who are Kent’s bowlers? They gonna be playing for SA?

He will also be traumatised by his boot lickees copping a well deserved hiding in the election

That's what she said

Any idea about the bowling attack? There some suggestions of a lyonless attack

Australia will never go into a Test without Lyon. If nothing else he leads the team song when Aus win 😉

Seriously though Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and Webster is enough pace

Lyonless attack only makes sense if we don't have a capable fourth seamer in the top six. Webster will be there so it's overkill.
Hey I don't endorse it. Its among some of the weird comments that I hear

For me personally, only real question is the pace attack

Yes. If they are all fit enough to get through a test, and that is a big if, Starc is comfortably the worst bowler for the conditions though
Starc did pretty well last ashes over in England didn't he?
