2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Seems from the story that a person at the next table was IDed as positive. Did they get an SMS with the result, stand up and shout "Bingo!"? Suppose if they found out while they were out they've done the right thing telling people, but then again if you're awaiting a test result why are you out in the first place?

This is why we need tougher measures, 14 day quarantine, vaccine mandates and mandatory five year prison terms for anyone who opposes them or who attends an anti-vax rally, and 15 year sentences for anyone at a ball with Ross Cameron and renowned domestic abuser Avi Yemeni.
This is why we don't put Burgey in charge.

Yeah, and look where that's got you. Our hero, the Aussie Adonis, the Prince of Penrith, the Mt Riverview Express has been struck down because you've all acceded to idiotic notions of #lettingitrip and thinking (if you can call it that) it's more important for some imbecile awaiting a test result to get out on the squirt than it is to worry about public safety and test match results.

You're all a disgrace. If you want to #letitrip, then go lick a window at Le Montage with the other mouth breathers and pick up a dose. Don't spread it around to the most important man in the nation (and to Pat Cummins).

I'm not saying that the fool in the restaurant wasn't an idiot and doesn't deserve proper punishment (4 years in the UK is probably appropriate) but the rest of your post was totalitarian nonsense.

Pro sport falls under different rules to us plebs
Everyone has the same rules in this regard I think. Say person A has to isolate because they were close contacts with a positive case, but anyone that person A has been in close contact with at work is fine to do whatever they want. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense but if you make everyone in a chain of contact isolate than every person would be isolating almost permanently lol

England have taken this squad rotation business way too far and tied themselves up in knots. These people are professional sportsmen, they are among the fittest individuals on the planet. It's ridiculous that we 'saved' our two most experienced bowlers for the second Test. Can't imagine Australia were planning to do the same.
Agreed. Maybe that's what you feel you have to do when you're overwhelming underdog. But they royally ****ed up Brisbane and truly think they're missing a trick with Wood here.

Rubbish. The people have spoken. Round the lot of these idiots up and throw them into the Centre for National Resilience at Howard Springs without air conditioning and water for eight weeks in January.

A fitting punishment for a woeful group of people who care for nothing but themselves.

Burgey is speaking purely out of self-interest. As an out-of-shape elderly citizen he is high risk if infected. If he were a 20-something year old athlete like you or me he'd sing a different tune.

This isn't true and you don't believe it.

Michael Neser is a hell of a decent replacement and this side doesn't need an on field genius captain to beat England
An attack of Starc, Richardson, Neser and Lyon does seem a bit worrying in fairness. Fortunately they’re bowling to England rather than say India.

Burgey’s posts here the definition of Live Tory Vote Labor.
Rubbish. These filth don't deserve to live. Half of these pricks are well-off wellness industry muppets. They're all idiots, all brain dead. It's a boon to the species if they don't make it through the pandemic.

Looks different when you write it out, in fairness.

I compare it to the attack they put out v NZ in 2011, which from memory was Pattinson, Starc, Siddle and Lyon. Highly skilful bowlers without too much experience but got the job done

Does create a situation where Starc is the leader of the attack and really needs to be MoM or close to if Australia want to continue their dominance. Huge heat on him

Michael Clarke very bullish on Starc on the radio this morning. Backed him for MOTM and said he would take seven in an innings here.

If the conditions and time of day go his way, he's a chance. That's one of the (many) beauties of pink ball tests - it might or it might not. Can honestly see him taking 7 or 1-100 in equal odds.

Pink ball Tests at Adelaide can be decided on who gets to bowl at which time of day. "New ball under lights" might have become a bit of a meme but if you're unlucky you can genuinely lose 5 for **** all in the session and the game is done.

A lot will depend on how the pitch is. Was pretty flat in the game against Pakistan 2 years ago but other than that they usually leave plenty of grass on it.

If there is a bit in the pitch could be well and truly worthwhile winning the toss and batting with a set amount of overs (eg. 75) and end your innings after that regardless. Treat it like a limited overs game and if you can get 250-300 in that time you can have the game handed to you on a platter

Are you confusing me for someone else here or are you just talking out of your arse, I genuinely am unsure

When exactly have I ever been bullish about Australia's chances on here?
