Even tougher than usual as this draft guarantees loads of great and ATGs throughout the sides.

Group A: Ankjit, JOJO
Group B: Pothas, srbhkshk

A: Ankitj, Teuton (unlucky Jojoxi)
B: srbhkshk, ataraxia

Group B was super tough.

Group A: AnkitJ, Fuller Pilch (Teuton super close) - Think Teuton had the stronger top 3 of the 3 sides but really liked Fuller Pilch's side and AnkitJ's bowling was immense, whilst Flower as keeper for Fuller Pilch allowed him to have a fifth bowling option whilst retaining an incredibly strong middle order

Group B: Pothas, srbhkshk - Pothas with plenty of batting depth there and class players in several disciplines. Great 4 man seam attack in particular whilst having a strong lower order, spinner perhaps being UK based influences things very handy too if not on level of many of the other spinners in this draft. 2nd spot was very close, a couple of sides had non-specialist openers who had opened a bit in fairness but hard to ignore even though they may well have done better opening then if they picked an average specialist opener. Very solid bowling attack from srbhkshk and a brilliant top 4. Although taking into account bowling and batting prefer the 5 and 6 of a couple of sides I didn't vote for in that group. Intrigued by Ataraxia's team and how they would do if this was simulated in real life mostly the 5-7 as I may be underestimating their batting potential but perhaps better of with 1 more specialist bat.

Some very good teams not mentioned in this post but having looked at it these teams stand out most to me.

As an aside @honestbharani you are a big fan of Simon Katich I presume? - might just be me but feel like nearly every draft he's picked in he's in your team!

Whatever it takes!!!
Very big fan. Excellent player who should have played far more games than he ended up doing. And I love me some left arm wrist spin.

Armstrong + Noble have terrific FC batting records when you factor in the era they played in and Rhodes held his own as a test opener, FTR.

Don't know the ins and outs of Rhodes career although know he opened a lot but think its the spread of innings at different positions including number 10 being his 2nd most prominent batting position after opening that made me wonder - and hadn't paid much attention to their FC records tbf but Armstrong's in particular is impressive. But comparing to the other 5s and 6s in that 2nd group I wondered if they would match some of the other middle orders - although your side does bat deep with Oldfield at 9 (EDIT - and even Cummins at 10) - I was thinking as I was writing previous post rightly or wrongly if you had say Sangakarra at 3 with the gloves and everyone down a spot that probably would've swayed it - I thought of Sanga actually with stephen and I speaking about keepers and stephen saying along the lines of having players who were decent at best with the gloves to pack the batting undermines the art of keeping somewhat - he may have used Sanga as an example of that but don't quote me on that. Also as I know you filled your squad up pretty quickly I wondered - haven't checked yet as to whether Sangakarra may have been a pick you were able to make as no use saying pick Gilchrist for eg if someone beats you to him.

Over 50 average when he opened in fairness to him is impressive! Am relatively young so only really caught the tail end of his Test career 'live'

He was the Pujara Dravid type cricketer too. Did not make a big song and dance about what he was doing and just slid under the radar but was an excellent player who did well everywhere. A spiritual successor to David Boon IMO.

Flashbacks to what I think was the first draft I played in with Boon - the syllable draft, what a SR too at 40.96!

It might be the bias towards my own team but group B looks stronger than group A to me.

Pothas

Ankitj, Teuton
Srbhkshk, Trundler (Hussey is a bit of a problem but great bowling attack so I can deal with it, would have just picked Warner though)

Haha picking Warner felt a bit like selling out since trundler's general principle of rating openers states pick openers who do well in England or bust. Morris did excellently of course. Would like more votes for this round plz.

Tbh it feels like a top half and a bottom half.

Div1: fuller and Andrew b, both excellent teams amongst high quality competition
Div2: mister and trundler, both enough talent to get through but with a flaw in team balance

it's probably the most ATGs I've drafted in a side for a long time. I guess my issue must be Sanga keeping or something
