TBF, it is a once in a lifetime thing for SC pitches not to be doctored, so I would expect it to be foremost in right-thinking people's minds.
but they were doctored. tjb loved it because the doctoring backfired.

Finally a confession from an Indian supporter that they cheat by doctoring pitches. Only about 40 years too late.

I don't think any Indian denies that the pitches are doctored. But it is not cheating. Both teams play on the same pitch.

India haven't been bad at all over recent years. Of course they used to be atrocious, along with their home umpires, but the baton has well and truly been passed to their little cousins on the Island of Ceylon

Everyone doctors pitches. They're not naturally occurring patches of dirt. Australia doctors it so much they can even pick the entire thing up and put it away for storage in the winter.

Yes and no. Australian curators never prepare pitches to suit the home team, they are prepared flat so the spivs at Jolimont St can line their own back pockets. A rather different, but still dire, issue

He's joking m8. He's trying to distract from India's uncomfortable history of pitch-related cheating.

The Poms have to be the biggest offenders historically. That Laker 19fer innings was blatant doctoring, as was that time mold randomly sprang up on the pitch to assist Underwood.

Lakers match also featured arguably Australia's weakest batting line up ever. Only one player had a test average over 40 (Neil Harvey, who got a pair) pretty abnormal for an Aussie test side

So basically the side we trotted out to get annihilated by India last summer. Except Khawaja is no Harvey.
