Not that logical imo..you need to take 20 wickets to win the test and need the bowlers to do it as per the conditions...clearly a second spinner would have added more to the chances of winning then a deeper tail.

Why do you say that?

Clearly a second spinner would have been more effective then a 3rd fast bowler here.
Depends on the quality of the spinner and the fast bowler. There's not much for the seamers but there honestly isn't much there for the spinners either. Still maintain that Tremlett was the right call.

If they could've dropped Morgan for Panesar and had Bresnan bat 7 then it would have been different but as it stands I think they got it right.

If you look at the series between SL and Pakistan in the UAE, the better seamers actually did quite well.

The problem for England is that Tremlett appears to be under-cooked (130ks is half rat-power for him) and may not have been suited to the conditions in any event

So far I've been unimpressed with England's much vaunted bowling attack.
Sure it's a road, but they don't even seem able to bowl a consistent line and length to try and limit the batsman's scoring options.
The batsmen have no pressure on them at all.

Finn should have played. Always worried Tremlett would be underdone, looks half the bowler at present.

That is sticking by the 3 seamers 1 spinner scenario they have done. Can see why Tremlett was given the nod as he has been ahead of Finn in pecking order in the past but it looks a horrid mistake. Giving him the new ball was an even bigger error.
