Chris Lewis charged with drug smuggling

'tis about right actually - the judge clearly hated him but anything more than 13 would be getting into the realms of the potentially appealable - assuming he's of good character of course.
Perhaps the judge didn't rate him as a cricketer?

10 years of that is probably for crimes against English cricket.

But yeah, he guy is scum. Hard drugs like this ruin lives, both in how they are consumed and manufactured / trafficed. I hope the 13 years (or whatever he serves of it) go extremely slowly for him indeed. :@

No he's entitled to be released on license then - although if he behaved badly enough he might pick up some extra days in disciplinary adjudications

Any chance of an earlier release than that, fred? (it's been a while since I've done crime).

It does sound quite a stiff sentence. to me, I have to say, particularly when compared with average sentences for serious ***ual offences. Of course his life now is completely screwed, however long he spends inside, and his reputation is now as repellant as Shoaib Akhtar's jockstrap.

Good old Chris released from prison having served 6 years of a 13 year sentence. If he'd shot his girlfriend he'd have been out years ago.

Though TBF, it's ridiculously common among many types. I just cannot understand it. I made the decision at the age of 6 or 7 years old that I was never touching the stuff (or heroin, LSD, speed etc. either) and I've never wavered from that. Why anyone would want to is simply beyond me.
Classic Richard.

I can understand the reluctance towards brussell sprouts, but a bit harsh to bracket with them with class A drugs.

And then later on page 1, he admits to using E.... guess he gave himself a free pass on ecstasy when he was writing up his rules as a 6/7-year-old.

Chris Lewis, an old England team mate if mine, is released from prison today. A fundamentally good guy, I wish him well

Some might say that once you get your first chance to make a decision, that should dictate what you do forevermore.
That's so bad, it's good. Unlike the infamous Youtube video of Dicko and Piper, which was so bad, it was awful.
