FFS Ronchi better learn how to keep or Hartley learn how to bat.
He should be in the prime of his career at the moment and I firmly believe he is. Should be a decent swap.Haddin to plug the void. With distinction, God willing.
Gone for good. And, according to Channel 9, he's pulled the pin. On test cricket, at least. What a career, Gilly.
AWTA.Gone for good.
Now if he doesn't replace Ian Healy in the box, then there will be hell to play. Perm has gone into a state of mourning AWS.
Sincerely hope he does. Has an acid wit even when balancing his role as a keeper while miked up. Would be in the top half of Nine commentators on his first day, for mine.AWTA.
God I'll miss him but he definitely deserves a spot in the commentary box.
He is playing the ODI series mate. This gets worse by the moment. At least he could have played the One Day series out. Good thing is that he won't be playing for WA.
Just read a headline saying he will be retiring from all forms. Didn't read the article that closely at first and the line about him playing the CB series. Though one would expect Haddin to play a large number of matches so it wont matter. Still mean were ****ed.He is playing the ODI series mate.

No offence, chaminda, but how in God's name was I supposed to provide a link to an on-air conversation between Channel 9 commentators?Link?
Took two minutes to get on the web so it wouldn't have been too hard. Just wanted proof it wasn't hear say.No offence, chaminda, but how in God's name was I supposed to provide a link to an on-air conversation between Channel 9 commentators?
But my source was an on-air conversation - and I had no idea whether the news was online or not, seeing as it appeared to be "instant" from the Channel 9 commentators. Why would I make something like that up?Took two minutes to get on the web so it wouldn't have been too hard. Just wanted proof it wasn't hear say.
Mate, Gilly will be having a farewell series in the CB Series. He won't be missing a few matches here and there just to give Haddin a go.Just read a headline saying he will be retiring from all forms.
