Mahesh Bhupati and Sania Mirza have won the Mixed Doubles Australian Open Title!

Top effort by both of them and well deserved too. I hope they keep raising the profile of Tennis in India and I hope more people in India take up the game.

I enjoyed many women's matches throughout the tournament but yeah the final was an absolute shalacking. This is why women shouldn't be paid the same as men in Grand Slams.

I can understand the prize money being equal in the other tournaments where both ***es play 3 setters though.

..
I wouldn't envy the person sitting through a five-set Women's match at the French, though.

.
...agree with both sentiments here...think I said nearly same somewhere before in the thread.....anyways, really hoping for a good game today....managed to miss the Verdasco match(:@..)...........Nadal to win cos however much I admire Federers game....I love to watch Nadal, who just seems that little more passionate about winning...would like it to be a 5 setter....

Some amazing games, though Fed's looked pretty nervous and all over the place for a lot of it. Looks a completely different player from the last two matches.

So Nadal takes the first set...Federer not playing his best and making some mistakes...

lets hope he ups his game in the second..

I have no idea why Nadal spooks Federer so much. Thank God he salvaged this set, otherwise it was heading for another French Open style match.

Federer's backhand isn't much cop - can't hit many winners with a one-handed - and as a leftie Nadal is much better placed to aim at his backhand. Plus that Nadal runs up 80 % of his forehand winners.
