Back for 2012!

Still three weeks until the main business starts (and even then it's spread over two weekends anyway) but I thought we'd get a jump on things to avoid missing the beginning of the season like last year.

Brief recap for newbs & the mentally infirm: pick a team each week and if they win you're through; if they lose or draw tho, you're out. Teams can only be used once in each running and, after week one, you can only tip against the team that is on the bottom of the AFL table at the start of the round once in any one running (the team will be marked in the fixture list with asterisk).

Round 1

Greater Western Sydney vs. Sydney (ANZ Stadium)
Richmond vs. Carlton (MCG)
Hawthorn vs. Collingwood (MCG)
Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions (MCG)
Gold Coast vs. Adelaide (Carrara)
Fremantle vs. Geelong (Subiaco)
North Melbourne vs. Essendon (Docklands)
Western Bulldogs vs. West Coast (Docklands)
Port Adelaide vs. St Kilda (Football Park)

If I knew nothing about AFL I'd vote GWS. If they win, everyone else would be knocked out, but if they lose, I wouldn't need to read this thread anymore. :p

Alas, I do know something about AFL, as I've already voted for the Swans. :p
