Yea this test is similar to the uae test where Pakistan were saved by bad light. We know what happened after the moral victory they won there.

If they miss out, England would have missed out on a huge chance in this test. Winning the toss, 5 dropped catches and an ineffective Ashwin, those will most probably not happen again this series. Also, Bhuvi and Dravidson coming back will help.

On the other side, Haseeb`s emergence and Rashid bowling well is a huge plus. This series is set up to be thrilling.
England not winning the toss again is possible but not probable. Dropped catches for both sides as well. Don't see how this is a missed chance, draws happen. We've played really well, just glad we've got the whitewash off the table

It's far more authoritative to have the beastly attitude of not being fussed by negotiating another over or 2!
Kohli's fault anyway for bowling quickly in the morning. From the next test, if we are batting last and are still bowling on day five, he should slow things down to just meet the required overs per hour.

So next time someone tells me it is impossible to bowl an extra 10-15 overs during the day when you're pushing for victory. Bull****.

England have bowled 17-18 overs here in the hour, and that's with a referral, two wickets and India pissing about.

Partly agree. I was saying more on the combination of all those factors. Yes, draws happen but this could easily have been an England win if they could have forced the issue especially since it will be a significant win being the first test of a long series.

This idea that a drawn test 100% means one side misses opportunity to win needs to die in a fire. We'd have needed 15 more overs to bowl them out, which is 70 runs less for them to chase. No captain on planet earth would have done that.

Thoroughly enjoyable day of cricket today. Been a good test match really.

I always thought the 5-0 talk was silly.
