Nice team, but Lara is not an opener. If we pick specialists for each position, who would you pick in place of Lara?

My XI:-

01. Sachin Tendulkar.

04. Ricky Ponting.
05. Michael Bevan.
06. AB De Villiers.
07. Lance Klusener. (5)
08. Wasim Akram. (2)
09. Muttiah Muralitharan. (4)
10. Joel Garner. (3)
11. Glenn McGrath. (1)

Sachin, Gilly, Sir Viv, Ponting, Bevan, McGrath, Garner, Akram and Murali were a lock for me.

The sixth and seventh position was extremely difficult to select. For the sixth position, I was torn between Dhoni, AB and Symonds but went with AB ultimately. For the seventh position, it was between Zulu, Pollock and Kapil but a big fan of Zulu. My fav ODI cricketer after Sachin and Gilly. So, went with him!

This is one hell of a team! Think, we can bring AB at 5 and Bevan at 6. Garner, McGrath and Murali can come at 9, 10 & 11 respectively. As for No. 3, perhaps Ponting can take that slot as that's where he has played for most part of his career. Viv on the other hand has played a lot at No. 4. But even if we go by the current slots for these two, it looks awesome! Nice job with the selection.

Both have their unique strengths. Everyone's sharing their opinion, there is no right or wrong answer. What would be your best 11?

I would love to see AB in that line-up, & may be we can have an extra fast bowler in place of one of the spinners.

Lately I've been eyeing this XI:

Tendulkar
Amla
Viv
De Villiers
Hussey
Dhoni
Kapil
Wasim
Garner
Saqlain
McGrath

Been thinking of swapping Amla for Gilly (issue with this is the fielding of Dhoni and Gilly), warne possibly for Saqlain. Dilshan not bad as opener, just missing contention.

Need Help

Hi there,

New to the forum, trying to learn the ropes. With so many comments coming in, I feel replying with quote ensures my comment reaches the person who made the statement, else it will get lost. And, although the comment is there for everyone to see, the person may not know that I have specifically replied to him.

Sorry, if I sound too naïve. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

What if I do a "Quick Reply?" Will my comment reach that particular person to whose thread I have commented or will it show up as a general comment? Basically, want to know the difference among "Quick Reply," "Reply with Quote" and the "Multi Quote" option. How does all this work?

Sorry, if that's a lot to answer.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,
midge

Hey minge, why do you write above the quote?

Which fielding issue are you talking about?
