Procter and Tayfield

Unbelievable bowling depth; four man pace (including Kallis) and double prong spin attack with off spin and leg break googly.

You guys honestly going to leave Pollock out? He can tie up an end better than a spinner.

It doesn't sit well with me either, but Kallis's presence means a second spinner, if he's of comparable quality to a fifth seamer (& Tayfield is, at worst, that) is going to be more useful.

Polly's batting would be nice, but given Proctor (probz)/keeper at seven and eight it's less of a factor.

&, yes, I did vote for a fourth specialist seamer ahead of Gibbs in the WI AT XI before some clever **** points it out (looking at PEWS mainly here), but that's because I think Garner/Holding (depending who one ranks fourth) is a markedly better option than Big Lance.

Vogler did great when toured England and performed exceptionally on matting pitches in 1910 season but soon was found less threatening in next season in Australia. That's the only hole maybe but he was a great bowler and many rated him as the best in his time. Think he's a bit underrated too.

Found this description of his bowling amazing-

At his best Vogler reached the highest class as a bowler. Delivering the off-break with a leg-break action, while depending chiefly upon the leg-break, he became exceptionally difficult and deceptive by the skill with which he used the reverse break and his variations of pace. Scarcely any batsman claimed that he could detect differences in Vogler's delivery of either the googly or the leg-break. Vogler also mixed the off-break with a ball which came straight through at greater pace, and occasionally sent down a most deceptive slow yorker. A bowler of infinite resource, he could keep going for a long time without losing length

Procter and S Pollock.

Would've picked Tayfield but guess Faulkner will be the spinner. I have doubts on Faulkner's bowling though.
