Nup, mid 130's. Bowled a couple of slower balls in that over, may have only seen that.

Neesham only got the one ball but I was surprised to see him bang it down at 135 straight up, that's pretty decent wheels all things considered. I really hope both he and Anderson are given a decent run with the NZ team this summer, all the 20/20's and maybe an ODI or two. Could and should be big time players for New Zealand in the future.

Cool, I remember he was doing pretty well with the bowling a few years ago before a shoulder problem so that's good to hear.

Definitely hope they stick with them. With Oram scaling back his involvement those guys seem like his natural successors.

...I heard on the radio this morning that Brendan McCullum won't be doing any phone interviews with NZ media because of his "big workload!" Which is why we were treated to an interview with Nathan McCallum rather than Brendan yesterday morning.

Unbelievable.

It's good to know the money we pay to NZC is well spent advancing the game in NZ:

Anyone expect NZ to be competitive in the next game? Have they finally earned the right to be aggressive?

The latest fallout from the Black Caps captaincy saga has seen the taxpayer-funded national cricket body seek professional help from "spin doctors" in an attempt to turn around its dire public image.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think NZC is taxpayer funded.

The latest annual report of Crown entity Sport New Zealand shows NZ Cricket received $1.85m in public money over 2011/12.
But I wasn't just talking about taxpayer money. Ticket sales, pay TV, etc. We contribute in many ways.

NZC don't deserve taxpayer funding. Everything they do fails. NZ is best when they don't touch anything because then they can't ruin it.

www.mccullumsux.com is available in case anyone wants to register the domain. I would be more tempted to go after Hesson however.

On a serious note if Baz wants to turn things around team speeches count much less than actually performing with the bat yourself so he will need to score a 50 himself in the next game.

We should bat like it's a test match tomorrow (a good, solid 3 runs per over or so) and then say that we didn't earn the right to be aggressive.

All PR people are useless, overpaid scum. Take it from me, I work with them every day. You can be sure, B McCullum not doing interviews is part of the PR strategy.
