Wouldn't surprise me if the BCCI just decided to play hard ball with the cost of the rights for it every time because it's a high-profile series and Fox Sports told them to piss right off. The West Indies series was probably a lot cheaper.

If true, never has there been a more justified use of the phrase "Damn BCCI"

Glad Yuvraj is back, an average of mid 30's after nearly 40 tests is nothing to fear. Bloke aint up to it in tests.
He averages a lot more against England though, so I wouldn't be surprised if he scores big this time around.

Anyways pretty pleased with the squad overall, and I still don't understand why Praveen kumar isn't getting picked and Ishant still is.

It's either an issue of pace or perhaps Ishant promises to not to smile if they pick him

few really brief highlights here Couple of good catches by Bairstow and Trott. Bell inexplicably seems to forget there is a leg slip in place and is dropped first ball. Compton press conference at the end.

Pace and the Fletcher obsession about it is the answer there.

Does anyone think that Fletcher has any influence over squad selection? I've got no idea but I'd doubt he has much influence

Not really. Praveen's just not been the same since coming back from his recent (elbow?) injury.

Grecian WAG!

I hope they go with Compton over Root personally. Don't really think Root is ready for international cricket yet.

Praveen was playing (tour of England) while Fletcher has been coach though, and if it was a pace thing I can't imagine he'd of been selected to start with.
