Anderson: Vaughan wasn't as good an England captain..
...as others made out and I never felt at ease playing under him

My god, the English team have become whiny little bitches. KP bitching, Anderson bitching, texting, twittering, moaning, complaining. Love it.

this stuff by jimmy is hardly surprising. you're never going to be that high on a guy who is captain during the poorest part of your own career. looks like the ecb lawyers got together on the KP stuff and cut everything presumably. |

Think this largely boils down to:
-captain who picks me and gives my balls a nice cupping = good -captain who prefers someone else and gives my nads a sly flick on passing = bad Also take issue with Jimmeh calling our 2005 XI a "truly great" side. They were playing a truly great side and peaked at exactly the right moment (we all saw what happened afterwards) but any side with (with all due respect) Ash Giles as its #1 spinner is faintly embarrassed by such an accolade. Much as he's been an arse on occasions since his retirement, I think you have to give Mick his props as skipper.

God, he sounds insecure. Start believing in yourself and stop looking for pats on the back.

Please no. Five chapters would be devoted to how overrated Steve Waugh was, three to what a brilliant tactician Tubby was, three to how AB was as tough as nuts, with a fair smattering of Buchanan bashing and I. Chappell glorifying thrown in. Heard it all before.

Comments make sense with Jimmy always being such a confidence player and, early in his career, a chronic head-dropper when things were going wrong. Still, a good captain would know that to get the best out of Anderson you just needed to inject confidence and would have made sure to do that regularly.

Shows him as more of a pussy than Mitchell Johnson, and that is saying something. What a little girl.

I think you're undervaluing the 20 chapters on why he would have been the greatest captain ever.
