well you ould argue their form is linked to the quality of bowling they are facing just like Swann who looked like taking a wicket every over last year is totally nullified this time around one may say he is out of forn right now but i think the more logical answer is Indian batsman are much better players of spin bowling then Pakistan.

On the other hand however Broad, Tremlett, and Bresnan are on a completely different level now.

My God, they've all been bloody awful.

Pakistan were at least world-class in one discipline, and for at least a brief moment Sri Lanka showed their class in the other. But Pakistan's batting, on the whole, was desperate and Sri Lanka's bowling was as toothless as Geoff Boycott's great-granny's corpse.

I suppose India might stage some sort of comeback in the last Test and a half, but it doesn't seem particularly likely. They really have offered next to nothing, with the honourable exceptions of Sir R Dravid and Lord Praveen of Kumar who have both been mostly magnificent.

Missing the point why people are saying Bang, they came over and everyone expected them to get there arses handed to them but they showed great fight with bat and ball, took England to the 5th day in 1 of the 2 tests and put up over 380 runs in the second innings there.Whether you agree with it is neither here nor there.

It's interesting how Asif's average is quite modest but there's still a total consensus that he was ridiculously awesome last summer. Quite right too, but it doesn't happen very often.

Yeah, would actually have Laxman ahead of Samaraweera too. VVS looks in good nick and already has two 50s to his name, but Samaraweera looked cod ordinary all tour until one solid and average boosting 87* in the last test.
